How often do you have change the bedding?

If you have a hamster and they have a correctly sized cage of 450 square inches or a gerbil, you only need to change about once a month. For guinea pigs with a proper sized cage of 7+ square feet, every 2-3 days depending on how messy they are. Some animals like guinea pigs or ferrets could need it every day.

Can this be used for puppies?

Hi there! This is intended to be used for small animals.

Has anyone recently had an issue with this product giving their pets live? I purchased this once before and my guinea pigs got lice around that time.

Just made a review about this. My rats got Lice, right after using this as a last minute substitue since ive been working hella and didnt have time for a petstore run :/. Having to pay like 700+ in vet bills now since they each have to be seen to get meds.
