If you have any kind of pillow that is filled with buckwheat this is good to have on hand because eventually you will have to refill your buckwheat pillow or neck pillow.

Simple buckwheat filler, does the job.

I filled a camera beanbag with aquarium pebbles to make it waterproof but it was too heavy (buckwheat hulls when wet could mold). So I REFILLED the bag with these hulls and the beanbag is as light as air...I can take it everyplace! Because other reviews for different hulls reported broken hulls or bags or bugs I went with this brand since it's boxed and nicely sealed. It's perfect, but took about two weeks to arrive. If you don't need it in a hurry, go with this brand :-)

I have several buckwheat hull pillows that I love. I use one as a bed pillow and another favorite is a tiny 7-in x 10-in rectangular travel size that I tuck in my carry-on for longer international flights. It tucks so nicely in the crook of my shoulder and neck, and is the only chance of me getting any sleep on long flights without waking to a stiff neck. Another mid-sized buckwheat sofa pillow is perfect for tucking behind your back or under your knees while lounging and reading.For anyone who's never used a buckwheat pillow, the joy is in their support, conformity to the body, and air circulation. They conform to and cradle your head and neck so much better than conventional pillows. Because of the air circulation around the hulls, they tend to stay cooler than fiberfill or foam. I love that they're weightier than a well-stuffed feather pillow.Over time, the hulls get compacted and polished smooth resulting in your pillow not feeling as full and supportive. When this happens, it's not necessary to remove the old hulls (unless they've become soiled for some reason). In fact, I feel that the older, polished hulls are actually nicer because they slide against each other more easily and less noisely. I just add enough additional new hulls to fill my pillows to the degree of oomph that I like.This time, I got three boxes of these replacement hulls. They're nice quality and are completely odor free (very important in pillow innards). Some of the hulls will be used for replenishing my other pillows. The rest will be used for making another mid-sized oblong pillow (you can never have too many buckwheat pillows). I find that I prefer filling an inner pillow lining made of a tight-weave, mid-weight fabric and then enclosing that in a decorative pillow covering that can be removed for cleaning if necessary.If you're having trouble figuring out how much you need and are unable to visualize how much a 2 pound quantity is, these hulls arrive in a bag (within a box) that measures 11-in x 11-in x 3.5-in.

I recently used the Zen Chi replacement hulls to re-fill an old pillow that was no longer full. I removed the old hulls, washed the pillowcase, and refilled it with the Zen Chi buckwheat hulls. What a difference! The old hulls removed from the pillowcase included many hulls that had broken into smaller bits and pieces. As a result, they no longer filled the pillow. Now, my pillow is full and does its job. Thank you!

This is a really good quality buckwheat husk. I have bought it before and it lasted very long time. Perfect for my Zen Chi pillows. I'm sure I will buy this again.
