The idea is right but the execution is wrong. This tool completely fell apart on the very first use. I was able to get one exhaust hanger off and then on the next attempt, the whole tool fell apart. Technically it's a good tool, but it's just made from bad materials and horrible welding. If you have a welder at home, feel free to buy it. You may be able to fix it when it breaks, but just judging by these reviews and photos, there's a high chance that this is going to break on you; Hopefully not in the middle of your job like it did for me.

Works great for removing from hangers, feels sturdy in the hand and gets the hangers free in one quick grip. Great addition to the tool box

With soapy water it’s the bees knees. Works as expected. You need this if you’re looking at it. Those rubber hangers are tough but this is better than trying to struggle.

Little smaller than I thought but still gets the job done. I like the grips and I don't feel like I need to overuse my hands when I need extra force.

I never thought something so simply made could make life so much easier with doing exhaust work. I've seen these type pliers at exhaust shops before when having custom exhaust installed, but didn't think much about them or their purpose as customers generally aren't allowed into a work shop area without reason. I started to replace my worn out, holey exhaust system and had to stop immediately when I tried to remove one of the rubber donuts off its exhaust hanger. It just wouldn't come off and I've been working on vehicles as a DIY self-taught backyard mechanic for almost 55yrs. Ordered these donut hanger pliers and it made removing the old exhaust and installing a new exhaust so much easier. I won't need a new one for the rest of my life, but having them sure made it quicker and easier for getting them. You don't really need this tool to install an exhaust donut, but you sure do need this tool to remove it.

Terrible build quality. I'm a dealer tech. I bought this so I stopped borrowing other people's exhaust hanger tools. We don't get a ton of exhaust work here so it sat in my drawer for a couple months. I just pulled it out today to replace a heat shield and the peg snapped off the weld. Will not be buying anything from this brand ever again

WHAT Used on JK (2008) jeep wrangler muffler change out that worked perfectly. WHY Old muffler had the rust look and I changed it for all black out muffler. The cost was perfect for what I save in time and money of getting it done. I have since sold the vehicle but kept the high quality, durable product and any possible future usage as it still looks brand new. Worked like a charm. I did t even have to lift the vehicle to change it (and I don’t have a lift kit it was at factory height).

It pokes the thing through the other thing then the exhaust system falls off.

I was excited to get these for the exhaust job a had coming up , iv always just done it with soap, pry bars and Pliers , came across these babies and thought what a great idea. however ,Pliers broke very first push with little pressure ,I had the rubber hanger all lubed up , should have been a easy push but the hook piece on the pliers broke off at the weld, I found rust under the welds , clearly a defect from factory, love the idea of this tool but will suggest a better quality, I purchased these particularly cause the price was right at the time but was disappointed I didn't get to use them. Seller dis issues a full refund

Work wonderful for removing my exhaust. very easy to use, worth the purchase.

Seems like a good tool. Helped with taking the exhaust off of my BMW. Although, it's not much easier than using a pair of channel locks or even your hands. That's because it's not designed for thick exhaust hangers, like what BMW uses. So spraying WD40 and pushing out with my thumbs was still easier than using this tool. That being said, I'll keep it as a back up. It might prove to be useful down the line. Hopefully it won't fail prematurely, as many low-priced tools from Amazon do.
