Love this lock the look is sleek and sturdy. The installation took some adjustment to fit the pre-existing holes on my door however after it was installed the connection was easy. The setup was easy to follow and a great value for your money. The app control was very convenient and made it easy for temp code and far away keyless access. I definitely recommend

I highly recommend you stay away from this brand. I’ve owned many smart locks they are perfect for my rental properties but by far this is the least user friendly. I’ve had to contact customer service multiple times for assistance with this lock. The app is poor quality no time or money invested in the app at all. It claims to be Alexa compatible I don’t see how I can’t even get this thing to unlock more than 2 meters away. It’s constantly needing to be reset and it’s unreliable when putting in the passcode the keypad fluctuates between being too sensitive and not sensitive enough. The only thing this lock is good at is locking me out my own house. I’ve had it with these locks. I own two different models one type for my front door and another for my back they both are horrible and I regret buying them. On a positive note they do have decent customer service which is rare these days but it doesn’t make up for how inconvenient this lock is.

Just spent 45 minutes with Sam on the phone. He was so patience and helpful. It wasn’t his fault on the time we spent on the phone. It was mostly me not being tech-savvy but Sam was extremely helpful and patience and we got the lock to work properly and I will very secured now. Thank you, Sam!

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the initial setup takes a bit of patience, but once it’s installed and configured, it works exactly as expected. Absolutely terrible. I bought this lock in the hopes of upgrading my house for the future and it was an absolute fail. I contacted customer support three days in a row after watching countless videos trying to fix it myself. The locking function does not connect to either of the apps that the instructions tell you about. Every time I would try it would say unable to connect please retry. Upon contacting customer support they walked me through all the same things I had already done and said you must of gotten a dud we will flag and we will flag your order and will give you a call to get a new system. That was over a week ago. I know have to buy a brand new one and replace it again so I can have what I actually wanted on my door. Short story it’s literally just a lock nothing else works and the handle is slightly hard to push down than a normal handle would be

We had a mishap with the lock cylinder and were not able to locate the keys - upon reaching out to Hornbill, a representative named Avalan reached out to me. We were completely satisfied with how he handled the situation, professionally and timely. Within a few days we received a new cylinder and keys in the mail. I am for sure going to purchase the smartlock again in the future when needed for another property. Thanks to such a helpful person as Avalan. Had issue with the touch pad deadbolt part of the lock assembly. It had worked without issue for a number of months but stopped working in February, tried changing batteries and resetting unit but no luck. Contacted Customer support and Mia was very helpful in guiding me through additional troubleshooting, in the end the deadbolt unit needed to be replaced and Mia took my mailing info and sent a replacement unit. Very prompt polite service. Would definitely recommend purchasing from them.

An awful product, within days of installation the door handle stopped working, essentially barricading the front door, which had to be forced open. The company to their credit issued a small partial refund for the defect. Within a few months of install the deadbolt also stopped working. The Company's only solution was to provide a replacement which was useless to me as I had to replace the lock to ensure my front door was operational. The Company refused a refund saying it was outside of the return window although the entire product was totally broken within months of installation.

I bought this lock back in August. It looked good and fancy. and it was as such. I was impressed with the quality of it compared to other brands with double the price tag. The installation was a breeze - very simple and clear simple instructions. the lock still looks and works great after 6 months of heavy usage, it has so many useful options but you must download the associated Next Lock app from app store. which's very also easy to set up, useful and simple to operate and I highly recommend it. However, my main reason for this review is to give kudos to the extraordinary customer service behind this product. A few days ago, I contacted them regarding an issue with the batteries, they were getting drained faster than usual, maybe due to cold weather in Ottawa or maybe something else, and I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Lina Y. via Whatsapp, who was amazingly friendly, professional and very understanding, all it took was explaining the issue to her and she promptly set up a replacement which I received today (less than 5 days from the initial call). I am still amazed at the quick response, the follow ups and the honesty of Lina and her company for respecting people's time and money. That is more reason for me to recommend buying this product. Thank you Lina for your amazing service.

We love this door and keypad. The keypad is not very sensitive however so ensuring your pushing decently on the numbers. Haven’t connected to a Bluetooth system but happy to lock from the app when in the house. Installation was fairly easy.

After 6 months, the latch was bent and broken. We have to buy a new lock to replace it.
