How do you fill them to get a round ball?

fill the bottom tray to the rim. While holding over the sink, slowly push both ends of the top tray all the way down. The water will push the air out the small holes as it fill the top half of the ball. hold both ends tightly as you carry and place it in the freezer. It spills easily. I had to learn this by trial and error. I hope this helped.

Are these silicone or plastic? Also, the pic looks like it makes about 20 cubes at a time, but the description says it makes 4 at a time.

It is hard plastic and not silicone. Yes each set of trays makes 20 cubes and the order comes with two sets of trays. I wasn’t sure how well they would work however they work awesome!!

Just bought, how do you fill these things?

I filled the bottom tray a little over halfway and then put the top on and pressed down until it came out of the holes

What is the size of the fill hole? (i.e., inch/cm diameter. Please don't just say "tiny" or "really small".)

Not as small as marbles. I would say 1 - 1/2 in diameter. Perfect for making eyeballs if that helps
