My copy is one of the not so good ones, ink is not very black
Enjoyable little book full of pieces of news usually ignored by bigger works, also by Italian Historians. My copy is one of the not so good ones, ink is not very black, but is still an interesting reading, Advised for Italian nationals that want something different form the usual angiographies.

but good quality to give you a brief idea
Quite expensive for a fairly short book, but good quality to give you a brief idea. Nevertheless, you wouldn't get much considering how diverse the histories of the different parts of Italy are. This is, however, a good overview. It also gives the reader an idea to the current fiscal problems in Italy and its origins.

A very good read
Comprehensive, yet an easy read. Learned so much about the long road to becoming a nation...and the dominance of Austria, France, etc. Mussolini's fascists were almost cartoonish, and cost Italy dearly.
