Should i go with this or the cheaper 256 gb meta quest 2? i want something mainly for gaming but i do not know i have never tried vr before.

I tried the Pro for my job and I would honestly say no the Quest 2 is much better for gaming (Battery on Pro died after 1hour and 20 min of solid gaming I get 2+ with the quest 2 with extended battery strap and visual quality is pretty much the same. Also anyone who owns a VR headset will tell you they smack their headset often so the Pro will take some bumps plus all the accessories for quest 2 are cheap and help with immersion. Save the extra money and get a PC or Haptic Vest!!

Can i use it without facebook ????

You can use the quest 2 without facebook now. If I were you I would get the quest 2 for gaming. The quest pro is basically only for work and it's not worth your money. With $1,500 I can buy a nice phone and take it anywhere without any problems but with a headset you can't.
