At 84, let's just say keeping those pearly whites (well, more like pearly polymers these days) clean isn't what it used to be. Back then, fiddling with those fizzy tablets and denture brushes was a real pain, and forget about overnight whitening – those things always left my dentures feeling like chalk. But then I stumbled upon these Polident tablets! First off, no more denture bath explosions – these things dissolve nice and quiet in warm water. Second, they actually whiten! Sure, they aren't going turn me into George Clooney overnight, but they do a good job of keeping that coffee and wine stain situation under control. Now, the instructions say to soak overnight. Let me be honest, folks, sometimes a full night's soak just isn't in the cards. These days, if I can manage a good power nap in my recliner, that's a victory. But the good news is, even a quick soak seems to do the trick. Plus, they kill those nasty odor-causing bacteria. All in all, these Polident tablets are a winner. Just be careful not to confuse them with your morning Alka-Seltzer – been there, done that, ended up with a very minty breakfast!

I use this for cleaning my retainers after orthodonture. No problem.

This is an excellent product. However, it has another use. When the toilet has been clogged with paper etc, I found that dropping a couple of tablets into the bowl waiting 30 seconds and then flushing causes the whole mess to dissappear.
