An easy to use and effective last resort
These really did the trick. We had been struggling with a very small infestation in the house for sometime, using humane traps. Unfortunately food stuffs were still getting nibbled and half a pack of monkey nuts disappeared overnight one time. We also had various boxes nibbled in our garage. I believe the mice were coming in through the air bricks in the house. As much as we didn’t want to, it was time for something different to control them. These were great. Cheap, very effective and easy to use, with instructions covering not just how to set them up, but other things to do to ensure they work (remove other food sources, where to place them etc). Within the first few days things changed. Checking the boxes I could see the bait had been nibbled. Within 3 weeks I wasn’t seeing any of the bait disappearing. We obviously had a relatively small infestation and still have 2 of the bait pouches left. Easy to place (and poison is bagged so no need to touch directly and no great exposure), easy and quick to check and good advice included and entry is via a special plastic key that needs some force to push it, so cannot casually be opened. If you really have to use poison , which was a last resort for us, then these are a good way of dealing with a small infestation. If you think you might have a bigger infestation, probably worth ordering extra bait packs at the time as you will place 10 in the 5 bait stations initially, leaving only 5 for top ups.

Product works, mice infestation gone took nearly 2 weeks.
Purchased this product for friends, which had 5 bait boxes and 15 sachets, also extra packet of 60 sachets. They had tried humane way, without success, also blocking up holes and now had mice infestation. I read product reviews some good, others negative. The bait boxes were a great help, due to animals in the house, including birds whose food and seed were attracting mice to get up into cages at night. All food was removed at night and secured. Daily vacuuming of carpets and antibacterial products used in kitchen and bathroom. A mice nightmare! This is a great product, the mice have to come back to feed 2-3 times before it works. The bait boxes are easy to use, follow instructions. Just under 2 weeks before mice visits stopped.

BETTER THAN IN THE LAST CENTURY
The last time I had mice was in the last century. In those days the poison companies would sell you a sachet of rice or barley impregnated in poison, and a little plastic tray to pour the grain into. Perhaps my Sarf London mice were more uncouth than those out in the suburbs, but they were messy eaters and I ended up with poisoned grain all under the cooker. Lovely. These days this company supplies plastic boxes and sachets which are wrapped in edible paper. Open the box with the key, shove the entire sachet (without opening it) onto the spike and shut the lid. Your pets cannot get in (unless your pet mice escape),and you don't have to touch the poison. It should be a lot better. There are even fixing holes so you can screw the box (to the ceiling?). DON'T LOSE THE KEY! You need to open the box to see if the bait is being taken. If not, try putting it somewhere else. What you're hoping to see is activity where the mice take the poison to begin with, and then their visits tail off (~Tail off, geddit?). Unfortunately this may coincide with an unpleasant smell that lasts a few days - it's the smell of dead mice under the floorboards. I don't know if the poison will actually work but at least the whole baiting process is a lot more hygenic. Other companies also supply sachets that look identical and contain the same stuff, so you can shop around if you need to stock up again. The other option is to set traps which are probably more merciful, and certainly better environmentally. (Give the corpses naval funerals by flushing them down the loo). Or get a cat.

Reasonable bait boxes
We live in a thatched cottage and mice are constant visitors in our roof space. Personally I don’t like using poison, but with three lofts and reaching the age where I don’t want to climb ladders regularly, I use these more frequently than I would have previously. We had 3 boxes, now 13 strategically placed and which require me visiting them no more than twice a year to top them up. I can confirm that in the right environment these boxes will last for years. I have some of this product which have been in our loft for well over 5 years. The boxes themselves are manufactured from durable ABS material, in which there are two compartments to insert bait. I use wax type bait on one side and for this review, pasta on the other. I locate the boxes adjacent to a wall or beam/pipe/trunking: mice like to run parallel to these or similar - all explained much better in the leaflets accompanying the boxes. There is a simple locking mechanism to ensure that they are safe, which ensures that the box is difficult to open without the key. I find it annoying that these boxes only come with two keys per 10 boxes, but it ensures I keep them safe. A very simple bait box for mice. Pretty safe to keep bait out of the reach of all but the most determined child/pet; we don’t secure ours as they are located in our loft, but you have that option if you wish to attach them using a cable tie or similar. Recommended.

Incomplete product and not tamperproof
Arrived without the key to open the tamper proof boxes! Would return but need to get the bait down ASAP to deal with mice so have used 2 pencils and force to open the boxes - so 1. product arrived incomplete and 2. They are not tamperproof as I was in them within 30 seconds! Issue is I wouldn’t want to use this method to reopen and put more bait in incase there is a dead mouse in there!! On the plus side mouse has taken the bait within 6 hours of placing the bait boxes!

Works like a charm but the rats do come back after a while. The rats love this pink stuff coz I noticed it instantly attracts them and then they disappear but they come back after afew weeks again. Another thing, you should sell these baits seperately without the boxes. That many boxes are of not much use and also may be bring down the priceca bit.
