Protect chainsaw Safety Helmet with Protective Ear Muff and Mesh Visor

Of the dozens even hundreds of items I have bought off Amazon over the years this is by the far most remarkable I wish there were more than 5 stars. How is this safety helmet made at this price ???. Simple to put together, a little extra pressure need for the clips, but no instructions required, just a little common sense. My hat size is 7 7/8 inch, yes I'm a big chap and was reluctant to buy as I thought it would be too small. Without any adjustment fitted me perfectly out of the box and comfortably, with the interior bands covered in 'cloth'. It is very well made, and is held in place on the head by the pressure of the ear defenders that work wonderfully and far superior to the little yellow ear plugs I normally use. Time will tell if it us durable but experience to date suggests it will last for some time. I bought a new chain saw recently and considered ditching the safety goggles and ear plugs (I'm a domestic user with wood burner). Wished I bought one of these years ago, I cannot recommend this product enough, well done Oregon.

Seems pretty good. Much better than having loads of debris falling on me. The mesh face guard is very good. Comfortable to wear with an adjustable head band to keep it a snug fit. Ear defenders are very good and also comfortable. For the money it isn't worth working on hedges and trees without it.

Instructions booklet absolute rubbish; the print and diagrams are so small it's if they expect an eagle to read the thing. If you look at the product photos on the box or in the Amazon listing applying common sense it's easy, very easy, to work out how to assemble the product. The fit is good and easy to adjust. The ear defenders are excellent, doing a good job at muffling sound. The visor is great. At first, when I read the description I thought that the mesh may obscure one's vision but this turned out not to be the case. In use, the mesh in front of your face is barely noticed (your view of what you are working is in no way obstructed). The mesh is fine enough that it will block out most saw dust but.......if you are doing a lot of sanding, or cutting with a circular saw it would be advisable to also wear a dust mask to block the finest dust particles from entering your lungs. The mesh visor is easily removed for times when it's not needed. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be easy to remove the ear defenders but they can be rotated away from your ears if you don't want wear them (however, in this position they remain attached to the helmet). There's no chin strap for extra support/security. I would have preferred 'day glow' yellow as the colour rather than orange. The material from which the helmet is made seems very robust. All in all, an excellent product for the price.

Great price point and a great item covers my head size 7 3/4 very large and fits my wife’s too she has a lot smaller head. The visor is great mesh and the head phones do work and cut out a lot of noise.

So a tree came down, and I fancied a project and it was a good excuse to buy a chainsaw, but being somewhat on the cautious side I felt like it was important to invest in some protective gear. The challenge was not spending too much but making sure that the kit did the job. Oregon seemed to be a brand with some credibility on the chainsaw front, so I went for this one given its competitive price. There is some assembly required - but it is pretty straightforward - the visor part especially. The ear defenders took me slightly longer to work out which way they went in - but just look at the picture on the box for clarity. I've been very impressed by the ear defenders. I had another set I bought at a well know company who are good for the supply of screws when you're in a fix and they are fine, but these Oregon ones are better. When I first started up the saw I was slightly disappointed by its tinny sound (it's all about the ROAR!), but realised that was down to how effectively these were cutting out the noise. The visor is very helpful - hadn't realised how much dust and debris is chucked out when using a chainsaw. All in all very pleased with the experience. Definitely worth getting some gloves too. Netjes verpakt en bezorgd. Product is echt degelijk met een uitstekende pasvorm. Zeer makkelijk middels draaiknop aan hoofd aan te passen. Heel goed! Ben zeer tevreden over de kwaliteit. Super.

Great safety hat for the price. The head adjustment grip is a little temperamental and if too tight gives me a headache but the shield has been amazing for chainsaw work and ear muffs when I need them have been good too. Easy to store away on helmet. Overall happy with this product for the price.

L’ho preso perché quando si usano attrezzi del genere preferisco sempre avere una protezione completa, senza improvvisare con pezzi separati messi insieme alla meglio. E questo, da questo punto di vista, mi ha fatto una buona impressione fin da subito. La cosa che si apprezza di più è che hai tutto in un unico sistema: casco, visiera a rete e cuffie antirumore. Alla fine è proprio questa la comodità vera, perché indossi tutto una volta sola e sei subito operativo. La struttura dà una bella sensazione di solidità, senza sembrare un oggetto fragile o “giocattolo”. Anche la regolazione è abbastanza semplice e una volta trovato il proprio assetto resta comodo da portare. Buona anche la ventilazione, che è una di quelle cose che sembrano secondarie finché non lo tieni addosso per un po’. La visiera in rete protegge bene senza togliere troppa visibilità, mentre le cuffie fanno il loro lavoro e aiutano parecchio quando si lavora in ambienti rumorosi. Nel complesso mi è sembrato un prodotto ben fatto, pratico e pensato con buon senso. È uno di quegli acquisti che, quando servono, conviene fare bene.
