You know what! I have used so many covert devices over time and never have I found one so simple to use and so clear in operation. One little switch turns it on, you see a flashing light for about 3 seconds then you know its recording. To stop, simply switch the slider switch on the bottom (you cannot see the slide switch it just looks like the bottom of the USB key). This unit is also an actual USB key so can store anything onto it like any other USB stick. Once recorded and stopped their is a folder called audio, have a look and see the WAV files. The quality is so crisp and clean. I don't know how they do it in a small device! just do not delete the audio folder as I am unsure what would happen, do not delete anything in that folder other than your WAV files if you do not want to keep them. All in all, well happy and brilliant! the only downside I can see is the branded name ofn the key itself. I am sure you could easilly hide or remove it. After all, you don't want everyone to know your covertly recording them :o) Richard

I used this product to record conversations so that I had proof of them. It is really small and can therefore be carried about in a pocket or a hand without being detected. As it is a USB it can easily be passed off as nothing more than a memory stick. I had a little play with it at first to see whether it could be switched on whilst remaining in a pocket and also whether it would pick up clearly whilst recording from inside a pocket. I knew that this was a tricky test so I wasn't expecting much. The result was muffled, unsurprisingly so I have been more inventive in how to use it. I was never more than a couple of meters from the other party and the device picked all conversation up clearly. The instructions that come with the device are very clear and easy to follow. It was very simple to "view" the various recordings I had made when I plugged the USB into my laptop, easy to listen to them and easy to save them to my laptop. You don't need to be a computer whizz kid to do this although you would need sufficient knowledge of how to save from one drive to another on your laptop. Overall I am very pleased with this simple but effective device which I consider to be excellent value at the price. I have dropped one star as the on/off switch is not very positive and I feel that it would be easy to accidently turn it on or off at the most inappropriate moment.

Simple, easy to use voice recorder. I honestly did not know what it would turn out to be, but I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. It can pick up quite a bit in all types of situations – depending on the ambient noise level. Of course, at the end of the day, you will only pick up what you are hearing, so you will need to ensure that the sound source is clear enough. You can also use a free tool like Audacity to edit the audio. Very easy to use, portable, small and discreet looking. No doubt, this is not a professional recording device, but then at this price, you cannot expect something very high end. For what it is, this is a nice and nifty device.

Nice little recorder which is small and easy to use. When it works it does a great job, but it seems to have a real problem when left on for a reasonable length of time. The recording just seems to stop after a set time even though the battery still has charge left. The automatic naming of files with the date seems very unreliable too.

This is the BEST little gadget EVER! I am using it for antisocial abuse and believe you me it captures everything! It IS voice activated and you can hear distinct sound when it has just re-started but not so that it affects anything. If you need surveillance, this is the ticket...everything else would be bread n butter. (btw) I bought 2, and am now buying a 3rd as leaving it out all night with all his noise is not lasting long enough. **JUST AN FYI** I was advised by police to do this recording, so, use for this purpose under guidance or at your own risk, As an update, I have now bought 6 of these as I needed to change them more often. the building I live in is not sound-proof at all, thus picks up birds chirping, cars passing etc, so (you get the drift). One went faulty and before checking with jigmo about possibly resolving problem, I requested refund/exchange...however they have one year warranty and customer service is second to NONE! Even if you only need for recording lectures or something, if you do not need to play back immediately...this is a great piece of kit! It is seriously voice activated unlike some others I have previously had and will pick up a pin drop, so be careful where you place it.

Rubbish. What should, in theory, be a great device, is let down by the fact that it repeatedly loses track of date/time. Over a period of one week, it keeps resetting itself to 2015. For 80% of my recordings, I have no idea what date or time it was taken. I've used the provided datetime software, but still have the issue. It is a good device, small, useful. Shame it doesn't have lanyard attachment. Upvote me if you find this review useful.

I was excited to receive this Mini Voice Recorder 8GB but then so disappointed that it wouldn't play back. I tried everything and finally I emailed Jigmo at 20.00hrs. Within minutes I had a reply. They emailed me back and forward and finally I had the solution. Considering the fault lay with windows media player and not their product I had tremendous help from them. As for the recorder it works beautifully. Excellent sound and easy to use. Jigmo guys reassured me that if I had any more problems they were only an email away. What wonderful, helpful, friendly service. I would not hesitate to buy from them in the future.

Ottimo per registrazioni in riunioni. Microfono sensibilissimo e registrazione chiara. Evitate di tenerlo addosso in quanto ogni piccolo urto e rumore verrà registrato. La batteria dura tantissimo Lo consiglio sicuramente

jolie embalage il manque une simple fonction enregistrement non stop mais bon pas la faute du vendeur j aurai dut lire avant

Hace tiempo que buscaba una grabadora pequeña, que me sirviese para grabar seminarios, clases, conferencias... y ésta va genial. Me llegó en una cajita, bien protegida. Lo primero que tuve que hacer fue conectarla al ordenador, ejecuté un archivo que contiene y con eso se puso en marcha el reloj interno que tiene. Hice una primera carga de la batería y he estado una semana haciendo pruebas. El uso es súper sencillo. Tiene un único botón: on/off. Sólo hay que ponerlo en on y empieza a grabar solo. Cuando lo pones en off, deja de grabar solo y se guarda en un archivo nuevo, con la fecha y la hora. El audio se oye claramente en el ordenador. Es muy pequeño, del tamaño de un pendrive, y de hecho si no sabes que es una grabadora, cuela como un pen... así que se puede llevar encima y ponerlo a grabar en cualquier lugar, de una manera muy disimulada. A veces lo he usado para dejarme pequeñas notas de voz como recordatorio. Cuando llego a casa lo conecto al ordenador, se me abre la ventana con las carpetas y allí están todos los archivosde voz. Con una única carga de la batería me ha durado un montón de horas. Ah! Eso sí! Funciona con un sistema automático... algo así como un start/stop automático... A ver si me explico... cuando lo ponemos en on, empieza a grabar. Pero si detecta que no hay sonido, se para hasta que detecta de nuevo sonido, y entonces sigue grabando. Es muy útil para evitar grandes espacios en blanco. Pero hay que usarlo con precaución, porque el umbral es bastante bajo... es decir, que si hay un ruidito constante en la sala, no va a dejar de grabar, porque detectará que hay sonido. Así que en según qué casos, es mejor ir encendiéndolo y apagándolo y no dejarlo todo en manos de la propia grabadora. Así ahorraremos batería y no llenaremos la memoria con archivos en los que solo haya grabado el ruido del ambiente. Pero vamos, que es una cuestión de ser simplemente un poco cuidadoso y apagar de manera manual. En definitiva, super contento con la grabadora. Es genial para el precio que tiene.

Incredibile la sensibilità tanto che la registrazione cattura il ben più che minimo rumore anche,purtroppo,il rumore di fondo che va,talvolta,a sovrapporsi al registrato della traccia interessata. Per fortuna con un un semplice è gratuito programma si "ripulisce" la registrazione. Arrivato notevolmente in anticipo. Nel suo uso non emette suoni e non ci sono luci che lo possono far individuare.
