We love our Monster Beetle!
This is tough as anything and handles pretty well. My 5 year old has taken over this now - and it's seen a massive amount of abuse, but never breaks and never gives up. The bodyshell is in a bit of a state, but the rest of it is brilliant. With a LiPO battery it lasts for ages - really ages and is so much fun down at the beach. We love it.

A terrific opportunity to own a TAMIYA kit that we could never afford as kids. Fun to build and drive. Recommend buying a set of bearings and a faster motor, as well as a spare body shell kit (one for displaying, one for driving).

(Nel cellophane originale Tamiya), non come fa' l'importatore italiano che apre le scatole per inserire un inutile foglietto e rigare poi, sovrapponendole, le scatole, facendo finta di non capire il target di chi colleziona...

1986 was the year Tamiya became really popular with the release of iconic RCs like the monster Beetle. As a child from a lower middle class home all my father could afford was the Grasshopper which was Tamiya’s remedy for people who wanted to experience the joy of building, rebuilding and running these things literally until the wheels fell off. All I could do was drool at the sight of my friends who owned all the best. Tamiya did a great thing by re releasing these ever loved products so the ones who couldn’t afford them in 1986 could get a second chance at capturing the Nostalgia that comes with just opening the box. 5 stars for the nostalgia factor. Things I didn’t like was Tamiya did not use blister packs to showcase the parts in the box like they did in the 80’s or did they use the original decals with authentic racing sponsers instead using generic ones. However that being said I took the challenge and am piecing together parts to make a period accurate piece from the net. So I am having twice as much fun! That being said, the suspension lacks the movement and durability the newer ones today offer so be ready to modify to suit to your preference. Still after 30 years this kit is a blast to build and will last for years to come. Even though it lacks the technology the newer cars have you can still modify it to blow anything away. I bought myself and each of my boys a kit to introduce them into this wonderful hobby. Highly recommended!! Thanks Tamiya and Amazon!!

Perfecto pero viene para montar un lego...

Als erstes: Immer die Beschreibung vor dem Zusammenbau zumindest mal überfliegen, damit man einen Überblick über das bekommt, was da noch kommt. Dann kann man eventuell gleich da ein oder andere Teil lackieren und muss nicht dann eine Zwangspause machen bis das Teil trocken ist. Für den Zusammenbau und Betrieb dieses Modells (sollte eigentlich klar sein) wird noch ein Lenkservo (empfehle min 6kg) eine 2-Kanal-Fernsteuerung (Pistolengriff oder Stick) , ein 7,2V Racing-Pack (mehr mAh, mehr Fahrtzeit) mit Ladegerät benötigt. Ohne diesem Zubehör ist das ganze ein Standmodell für die Vitrine ;-) Anleitung ist Tamiya-typisch sehr gut gegliedert und leicht verständlich, aber trotzdem nichts für den absoluten Laien. Die Passform sucht ihresgleichen, so auch die Qualität des Kunststoffs -> da zahl ich gerne etwas mehr im Vergleich, da ich wahrscheinlich nie ein Ersatzteil benötige, ausser ich provoziere es. Das Fahren mit dem Teil macht echt richtig viel Spass. Wenn man ein Stück rückwärts fährt und dann schnell auf vorwärts, dann kann man tolle Wheelys machen.....allerdings bitte nicht übertreiben und mit etwas Gefühl herantasten sonst landet man schnell mal auf'n Dach :-) Sticker bekommt er von mir nur die nötigsten und die bereits rote Karosserie bleibt rot -> siehe Bild. Allen die sich jetzt zu dem aktuell sehr günstigen Preis für dieses Modell entscheiden wünsche ich viel Spass und ihr werdet es nicht bereuen!
