I am giving this product two stars as for 5 months it has served me well, and been a wonderful flask - fulfilled its function well, didn't leak, and is aesthetically pleasing - but today I picked it up to fill it and found that the glass of the inside flask had broken towards the top. I have always been very careful with the flask as I'm mindful it is made of glass, so am certain it has not been knocked, and the fact that the outside is still pristine suggests that there was perhaps a weakness in my particular flask that caused it to crack after time. I am disappointed that it has broken as I did enjoy this flask.24/05/2017 - I am editing my review to increase the rating. I have been very impressed with the way the seller dealt with this situation, he is very quick to respond, and sent me a replacement flask which does appear to be sturdier than my last one. Definitely great customer service!

I drink my tea at work "Chinese style" i.e just put some leaves in a cup and pour on water, leave to infuse and drink straight from the cup, the leaves having sunk to the bottom. I decided, partially for portability, partially to keep the tea warm, to get a bottle; I spent quite a while searching, as I didn't want plastic, or one with a captive infuser (this has but it is removable, leaving just the mesh filter). So I was looking for dual-wall glass with a decent capacity without being too much, and with a mesh filter, surprisingly not all that easy to find. Settled on the Monsuri as it fitted the bill; it's just arrived, initially I was a little worried about paying so much (even at half-price), but it's beautifully packaged, like a good bottle of single malt, in a decent cardboard tube, and appears very well made. The infuser cup unscrews from the filter, which itself is designed to sit snugly and inch or so down in the bottle and doesn't move, the lid is leak proof silicone and bamboo. This item is perfect for those who like their loose leaf tea. Recommended

This is no good for travelling. On the second day after recieving, I poured in hot water to brew green tea and popped it into my bag to take to the library. Arrived to find that the inner glass wall had smashed to smithereens. I'm 100% sure I didn't whack the bottle on anything on the way. It was only a 5-7 min walk! So it's in the bin. I also found that it leaks a fair bit and reeks of silicone/chemicals from the cap when you try to drink from it.--------------------------Edit----------------------------------I'm editing my rating from one star to 3 stars following the company's response to the review above. The company got in touch without initiation from me and offered to replace the broken bottle. The replacement arrived the next day. I still wouldn't recommend travelling with the bottle, or ever taking it out of its neoprene case, but that aside, it works as expected.-----------------------Second edit---------------------------It's now been more than a year and I'm happy to say that this is a solid product. I like loose lead green tea and can't be bothered with seives and stuff. I am the envy of the tea drinkers in my office!

Got this after reading a bunch of reviews on all the various glass infusers out there. I chose this one because it didn't have huge gross logos all over it. Nice clear glass container, just a bit of writing on the lid and the black sleeve :-). This item is exactly as is described in the product description and it came well packaged in a cute cylindrical box (so good if you're giving as a gift). This seems (so far) to be a high quality item, all the pieces appear well made and looks like they won't break easily! It looks really pretty when you're making tea, it's really easy to use and holds just under a pint of liquid. The only thing I have to comment on, is that it is heavier than I thought. It's quite sturdy, but I guess it's just an adjustment from using plastic flasks for so long! I'm careful when I put the lid on, and there have been no leaks. Some people have commented about the inner lid smelling very "chemically". The inside of my lid is silicon, and there was a slight odor when I first got it, but after a quick wash it's gone.

I've only been using this for a few days but so far it didn't disappoint. I use it mostly for cold drinks with fruit slices, and the taste is great. I was worried the strainer would be tricky to pop into place but I quickly got the hang of it. I also tried it with hot loose tea. The bottle gets warm but never enough to burn your hand. The little tea strainer is great, the holes are quite small so there was no leak of tea leaves in the bottle. I use the neoprene sleeve to transport the bottle, very convenient, just a bit tricky to take out - that's because it's a tight fit, which is good! Overall very satisfied.

Bought these as gifts. Love the finish. One of my friend’s adore this! Unfortunately when opening up one of the bottles I found that the cap was cracked slightly along several places on the edges. I haven’t gifted this yet as I don’t want to gift damaged goods. Also I fear that water ingress will only make the cracks bigger. I trust the necessary arrangements can be made to replace this damaged cap? Do get in touch

Fantastic water bottle!I was looking for a non-plastic water bottle as I find they tend to smell after a few washes and overall don't look very appealing outside of the gym. This was the perfect product I was looking for, the glass bottle looks gorgeous, is easy to wash with no small straws or funny little parts to clean. The strainer is genius, as it's in 2 parts its easy to use either the top strainer and have fruit infused water easily without getting any pips or pulp coming through when drinking and the basket when screwed to the top strainer is really great for cold brew tea and coffee. I usually have a combination of both fruit and tea as an infusion which means i can still eat the fruit after the tea is finished if I wanted to, with no tea leaves released from the basket. Bottle comes with a sleeve to protect it in a handbag or when carrying and I can confirm the whole thing is completely leak proof even when the internal strainers aren't used at all. Couldn't be happier!
