Ninja Duo 2-in-1 Blender [BL642UK] with Auto iQ

I am so pleased with this purchase. It has exceed my expectation. From the day we got it, we have been using it almost every day. It comes with three extra cups that have proved to be very useful.It makes smoothies like no other we ever had. Super smooth, frothy when you want it, and delicious results.Have been experimenting with a lot of recipes. Regularly use frozen berries, bananas, coconut, etc. It handles them all well.The cleaning is super easy and fast. I personally do not tolerate things take a while to clean. It defies the point of using the product. This is a five star product when it comes to cleaning. Too easy.The menu options on the device are practical and useful. Nice blue lights.It is noisy as reported by others but we don't care. I would rather have a good smoothie and quick cleaning. This way we get to use it every day and every day it gives us joy, and healthy eating continues.Example: Make coffee, add a pit of coconut oil, milk and cinnamon, put in the bender and you get a state of the art coffee with beautiful frothy thickness that keeps you going all morning.Bliss.Thanks Ninja.

I previously owned the smaller nutri ninja, and we embarked on many a blended journey. But I needed something that did a bit more, capacity wise and also ability wise. I needed a small food processor, but didn't want to add yet another kitchen unit. So I decided on this and I am not disappointed. I have thrown diced meat in it and come out with mince. Yes!Ice just gets zapped without any preamble at all. I love it. The only think I don't like is the blade....it is EVIL! Keep fingers away, keep inquisitive Ginger Ninja kitty paws away, keep anything remotely cuttable away!! But that's its job, and it does it very well indeed. But I do give the blade the respect it deserves, so I wash with a (getting more shredded by the day) long handled dish brush, and pop it in a cupboard on some kitchen roll to dry to stop incidences with myself (and the cat) forgetting it is out drying.

I've only used the Ninja twice, both times to make gazpacho soup, and it's worked a charm both times. I put the unpeeled tomatoes and peeled cucumbers, both with seeds, into the blender along with the read pepper, skin and all, and the rest of the ingredients and it came out smooth and delicious. You would never know that I hadn't de-seeded the tomatoes or cucumber, nor that I hadn't taken the skin off the tomatoes or pepper. Easy! I think it will be great for making soups in the autumn and winter. Fiddly to clean, but all blenders/food processors are; this one is probably easier to clean than others I've had. I have followed the directions very carefully regarding washing the blades and have not had a problem. At this time, I can say that I'm very glad I bought it and highly recommend it to others.

I adore this awesome blender and love every single detail in it. (Don't get me wrong but in my country is pretty difficult to find a 5 stars blender)I've been through quite a lot of blenders in my lifetime and all of them have either not done the job properly or have just cost far too much for what they are capable of.- High Quality product.- Well made, sturdy.- Engineered with numerous safety features, countless warnings ( Caution: sharp blades! ) and each of the blades were protected with custom-formed plastic sheaths, marked w/ ''Caution: handle with care! warnings''.- Easy assembly; directions were clear, simple to understand.- The pitcher, 3 Tritan cups and the base - all were bigger than I expected. And that is awesome.- Speaking of the base: Another safety design I love - underneath on the left and right sides, are pressure-release levers that release the suction cups that secure the base to your countertop.- Easy to clean, Easy to store and Easy to use.Highly Recommended!

This is a fab bit of kitchen kit. My previous blender wasn't very good at cracking hard seeds to make them digestible, and the pitcher wasn't really large enough for batch cooking. I wanted something with a generous pitcher and more blending power; finding one that also had smaller cups for making breakfast smoothies, nut butters, etc., was a real bonus.This model is so powerful that I only use the 'low/dough' setting for fruit smoothies – it does the job perfectly well without waking up my retired neighbours with the racket the higher speeds make! The blades in the large pitcher are brilliant for making batches of curry sauce, and chew up onions, garlic and spices very quickly. I also like the fact that you can add small quantities of ingredients through the lift-up flap in the lid, without having to take the whole thing off and drip sauce everywhere.Pros: pretty much all the advertised features.Cons: the cups could be significantly improved with a very simple design change. The insides are strengthened with plastic ribs; the outsides are smooth. The ribs make it hard to scrape the contents out of the cups (especially if they're quite viscous, e.g. fruit & nut smoothies), and at the same time the smooth exteriors make the cups difficult to grip and twist off the machine, especially if your hands aren't 100% dry. Just put the ribs on the outside instead, and solve both problems at a stroke!I'd still buy the product again as it is, though, it's a great system.
