Will it work well with hp printer?

So sorry for not seeing this sooner. I have not much experience with HP printers but from past knowledge I don't think it would be good. I know that Epson and Canon papers work perfectly between the two. You could try and see as you won't really know until you do. If u do try, change the paper option types when printing. Another paper which works really well with - it says all printers - is PPD photo paper direct which is available on Amazon. This paper is top dog with my Epson and Canon A3 and A4 printers. thoroughly recommended.

Of course it will be perfect. Just remember to choose the correct paper type when printing. So choose glossy paper 2 in the paper menu when you go to print.

this may sound like a stupid question but can I print 6x4 images onto this 5x7 paper and cut down to size? Never used printer before for pictures!

Yes. Your printer software on the computer will give you various size options. Choose the one you want and cut down to size .....if you have a decent guillotine.
