Ultimate Compound Colour & Clarity Restorer 450ml for Hand or Machine Polisher Application - G17216EU (Packaging may vary)

After a panic attack on finding a small area of scratch marks on a door panel (only visible in sunshine) of my shiny new Octavia I did a bit of research on the good old net. Everything pointed to one product. I aiready use the brilliant Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax to great effect so I plumped for this Colour and Clarity Restorer. My partner said 'you'll wear a patch on it'. I ignored her and followed the instructions to be rewarded with a superb finish, scratch and patch free. Does what it says on the tin. Well on the bottle then. Another brilliant Meguiar's product.

Great Results by Hand – Restored Colour and Shine! Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) I used Meguiar’s G17216EU Ultimate Compound by hand on my VW Golf Mk7.5, and I’m genuinely impressed with the results. The paint had some light swirling, oxidation, and a couple of marks that were bothering me – this product really helped bring back clarity and depth to the finish. Application was straightforward, though you do need to work it in properly with consistent pressure. It’s a bit of a workout by hand, but definitely worth it. I found it best to do small sections at a time and wipe off before it fully dries, otherwise removal can be a bit tricky. If it does dry up, adding a little fresh product over the area helps it come off easier. What stood out the most is how much richer and glossier the paint looked afterwards. It even reduced the visibility of a deeper scratch more than I expected. I’d imagine results with a dual-action polisher would be even better, but for hand use – it’s seriously impressive. Highly recommended if you want to restore your paint’s clarity without jumping straight to more aggressive options

It's a good product but my car has the lacquer peeling away.

This stuff is great. I found it much easier to use than t cut and it didn’t have that chemically smell. It did a really good job on the scratches. One went all down the side and you can barely see it now. I did buy a really cheap polisher which made the job much easier. But it works well by hand as well.

Read full review for Top Tips . I used this product with some "wool" buffing discs from another seller. It seemed great whilst it was working, and also seemed to reduce some very light scratches. I thought this would take care of the swirl marks but instead found it created more. The next day looking at the car in full sun, I thought I'd I ruined the paint work to be honest. The light reflected differently, almost like a very light brushed steel effect, from certain angles. I picked up some Turtle Wax - wax to help restore the shine which thankfully it did. (to be fair, Meguiars compound does say you can "wax afterwards to give a better protection"). This acted as a great cleaner, and got insects and grime off easily I guess. It reduced the appearance of scratches but you have to wax afterwards, this does not do what the image implies on the bottle. Maybe if your car/paint job is really old, it may have a more positive effect. Ours is a 3 year old black car. Finally, this will completely lighten your black plastic trim, but!.. A great youtube hack was to use a standard eraser/rubber, like you'd use to rub out pencil. This removed the dried on residual product which got on to the plastic trim. Also, do not get this on your wing mirrors or any glass, as it can cause fine scratches.

Great product and works really well. It's not an aggressive paste and should be ok for novices.

First time using this and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s far less aggressive than T-Cut but delivers the same, if not better, results. I applied it with a very soft, slightly damp sponge on an orbital polisher, then removed it using a lambswool polishing bonnet, again on the orbital. Followed up with a top coat of Autoglym Super Resin Polish, applied the same way, and polished off with the lambswool bonnet. Both products shine brilliantly when used correctly—just remember, avoid direct sunlight and never let any kind of application bake on dry or removal becomes a struggle. It has a nice polish scent, it is easy to see so remove, and has a high durability about it. So long as you cannot feel scratches or swirls with you finger nail, this product will remove them.

Perfecto para pinturas mono capa y para pulido a mano. Producto top como es de esperar con esta marca. No es la primera vez que lo uso y siempre vuelvo a el. Pros: fácil aplicación manual. Resultados increíbles en coches viejitos de pintura monocapa. En bi capa también sirve pero el resultado no es tan notorio. En coches rojos es. Brutal. Contras: el precio es un poco elevado, pagas calidad y la importación de un producto americano. Lo use en mi ford escort xr3i cabrio de 1989 y el resultado es excelente. No dura para siempre, recomiendo ir aplicando para mantener y no esperar a que el coche esté totalmente opaco.

Für mich ein klarer und sehr guter Allrounder in Sachen Politur. Diese Politur nutze ich in vielen Bereichen und nicht nur auf Lacken für den Kfz Bereich. Man bekommt einen sehr schönen Wet-Effekt auf diversen Oberflächen. (Zwar nicht wie mit dem Meguiars G19216EU Ultimate Polish Hochglanzpolitur, aber für den ersten und ich nenne es Mal groben-Schritt erzielt man relativ schnell einen sichtbaren Erfolg. (Bitte immer die korrekten Mittel und Werkzeuge zur Politur nutzen) Vor allen für Oberflächen die schon länger nicht mehr behandelt wurden. Für entsprechende Politurarbeiten nutze ich eine Poliermaschine und diverse Polieraufsätze. Mit einem Akkuschraube habe ich bisher nicht getestet. Grund, Keine Geschwindigkeitsregelung, Das Lager der Akkuschrauber ist für solche Arbeiten nicht ausgelegt. Die Politur hat einen leichten typischen Politurduft, für mich absolut nicht unangenehm, eben typisch für eine Politur. Verbrauch...? sehr Effizient bei richtiger Anwendung benötigt man wenig Politur (In Abhängigkeit der Oberfläche) Politurreste lassen sich gut beseitigen, an nicht gewünschten Flächen z.B. Auto werden die abgeklebt, vor allen bei Gummi und dunklen Kunststoffteilen. Als Tipp... man benötigt nicht wirklich Druck bei der Politur, lieber etwas leichter und evtl. etwas länger dafür eine sehr schöne scheinende Oberfläche als eine stumpfe und kaputte. Für unerfahrene... Wenn man nicht weiß welche Härte man bei den Polierschwämmen wählen soll, würde ich mit weich beginnen und immer wieder die Oberfläche testen. Über die Optik am besten mit Licht aus verschiedenen Winkeln und auch immer wieder mal mit den Fingern darüber fahren. (So viel Sinne wie möglich) Bisher erfolgreich angewendet auf folgenden Flächen Autolacke Möbelkunstharz Lacke (darauf achten das der Lack wirklich durchgehärtet ist) weiße Kunststofffenster-Rahmen - Die Fenster sehen besser aus als neue!!! Original Möbellack weiß Diverse kleine Kunststoffteile z.B. Schalter und Steckdosen (hell) (Test auf eine Edelstahlspüle, geht auch aber der Polierschwamm wird schnell schwarz) (Reinen schwarzen Kunststoff habe ich konkret nicht getestet) Noch ist die Flasche nicht leer, aber diese Politur bleibt fester Bestandteil zu einem als Politur und eine Art Reiniger für helle Kunststoffe. Ein absoluter Vorteil einer Politur, die Oberfläche wird glatt und Schmutz lagert sich nicht so einfach ab. Die Reinigung der Oberflächen geht wesentlich einfach, schneller und man benötigt so gut wie keinen (harten) Reiniger. Nach jeder Politur werden die Schwämme ausgiebig gereinigt! Grund Restteile der Oberfläche (z.B. Lackstaub ausgehärtete Politur) Einzige Besserung wäre ein anderer Verschluss, beim Schließen gibt es schon mal Spritzer

Used for my duster woodland brown color. Many Scratches were there by some kids. Did it manually but if done by machine then I think results Would be far better. Look for pics before and after. Highly satisfying product.

(Facoltativo) Applica una cera o sigillante dopo, per proteggere. ✅ Conclusione Un prodotto top per la cura dell’auto: lucida, corregge e rinnova la vernice con risultati quasi professionali anche senza attrezzatura da detailer.
