Actually this is certainly a large boot mat and represents excellent value for money. Clearly could have other uses as well.

Very easy to cut to size. Makes it so much easier to keep boot clean.

Purchased for a Suzuki Baleno, good fit after trimming, which is easy to do with scissors. It's not too thick you can't cut it and not too thin as to be useless. Knocked a star off because it was badly rolled and had a crease in which needed a heavy flat weight applied overnight to try and remove. No rubbery smell either. EDIT: Am editing this review after driving with the mat in the boot and found in no way is this non-stick. My stuff and plastic boxes in the boot are sliding around all over the place as they did before on the normal carpet. As it happens I did not buy this for its non-stick properties and am happy to buy a non-slip mat to place under my gear, but want to point this out as the description does say non-stick.

Very good boot mat just cut to adjust to your car boot

ORIGINAL REVIEW (July 2021): When delivered, this was tightly rolled up, then folded over, to make it as compact as possible. When I unwrapped/unrolled it, I was concerned at how extremely creased and rippled it was. It was also thinner than I had expected - I had assumed it would be as thick as a standard footwell rubber mat, but it was probably about half that thickness. Anyway, I laid it in the back yard, and poured a bucket of hot (not boiling!) water over it; pressing it all over with my feet. That seemed to flatten it out a lot better - still a few creases, but a massive improvement. After drying it, and cutting it (very easily, with strong scissors) to fit my car boot (Hyundai i20), I have to admit that it is growing on me - it’s thick enough to protect the boot, which is what I wanted, and the creases are barely noticeable - they seem to be disappearing over time. See photo - this is after one week of being fitted into the boot of my Hyundai i20 - one crease, if you look closely. For the price, it’s perfectly fine. It’s not the poshest boot mat on the market, but it does the job - it’s not as if the boot is on display. 1ST UPDATE: (August 2022) It’s been in the boot for over a year, with various items thrown on it and when required - eg shopping, garden plants, big lumps of rough wood, power tools, garden waste (for skip), even a friend’s dog at one point (yes, I removed the parcel shelf for him). I haven’t exactly been careful with it, stuff gets dragged in and out, the dog had big claws, I had to wash it after one shopping “malfunction” involving a carton of double cream - but it’s fine, in fact, it’s still as good as the day I put it in, so I definitely got a bargain. 2ND UPDATE: (OCTOBER 2023) No change from the above - after more than 2 years of normal use, it’s still as good as the day I fitted it. This has to be one of the best bargains I’ve bought, I think it may outlive the car. 3RD UPDATE: (OCTOBER 2024) Actually, there’s no change. It’s still in my boot after more than 3 years of normal use, and it still looks the same. It’s been washed a couple of times in the last year; from when I was transporting plants from the garden centre, and another incident, involving yet another spill. It’s now in better condition than the car, tbh. For the price, it has to be one of the best bargains ever. Don’t dither, just buy one. It will be fine. Even if you get a year out of it, you haven’t been robbed - and I’m now into my 4th year. 4TH UPDATE: (AUGUST 2025) Yes, I’m still driving the same car after 4 years. The mat is still there, and it’s still working fine. No breaks, no stains, and it still hasn’t perished, despite there being no parcel shelf and the car parked outside 24/7 in full light. No further updates. It’s a bargain, just buy one. 🤷🏻‍♀️
