Great Little Programmer
This is recognised instantly in microchip 7 atmel software so its perfect for a step up from the arduino app when im ready to do that,However you can still use this with the arduino app you just use zadig to update the drivers so simple really. For that reason im awarding it 5 stars as this is a well made product and it comes boxed with a proffesional font on the box.

Works
To everyone who has a problem with setting this up. I couldn't get this to work at the start but I changed drivers to WinUSB(v6.1) using Zadig. Make sure you have good connection between the programmer and your board so that both led are solid yellow and not blinking red. I used Avr studio 7 and it works like a dream.

This is luxurious
This is luxurious after using parallel port on an old laptop for too long. In ubuntu 14.04 need to change user permissions and group as per[...] , if you cut&paste then check the quotes are correct doh, after this works ok using avrdude and burns uno r3 bootloader in arduino 1.6.8 (led flashes yellow if connected incorrectly, constant green if ok)

It works; what more could you want?
I purchased this for reflashing AVR Arduino boards. It's a simple clone of Atmel's kit, appearing to the computer to be a "real" AVRISP mkII, and works perfectly. In other words, it's just what I needed.

Perfect for directly programming the ATMega chips on Arduino boards
Brilliant - works a treat for programming the ATMega chips on Arduino boards, if you want to move on from the Arduino IDE and start coding natively in C
