Purchased as it was the same model as the item needing replacement which was one of 7 switches fitted to an outbuilding 3 1/2 years ago. Should have lasted longer but the physical switching component failed. All other switches still working correctly. Instructions a bit better than most. Not the easiest of units to remove the rear plastic segment that takes the wires through. Wiring into existing wiring easy as it was a direct replacement.

A perfectly fine waterproof switch from BG. The switch comes with 4 screws, 4 screw caps, and 4 black rubber bungs to place over your wall fixing holes. (Photo). If you fix it with dome headed screws, you will have less chance of cracking the back plate. The switch itself is a 2 way single pole switch, with a current rating of 20amps. All that means is that you either have continuity between COM and WAY 1 or COM and WAY 2, depending on which way the switch is. The neon indicator lamp, isn't fixed, so you can move it to either WAY 1 or WAY 2, depending on how your circuit is wired. (Photo). The back box has a good internal depth of 37mm. There is a knockout on each side, with one side having 2 knockouts. There is also a knockout in the centre of the back. Knockouts are 20mm but can be easily enlarged to 25mm. The actual electrical switch is a half sized unit, and would be easy to replace. There is a rubber membrane between the main switch that you press, and the electrical switch. (Photo). The switch has a nice satisfying click in use. When you fix it to your wall, do not forget to drill a small drain hole at the base of the back box unit. They are clearly marked 'DRAIN'. You only need to drill one, which will allow any condensation to drain out. Overall, this is a very well priced IP66 switch, that works well in use. I hope you found this review helpful.

Not the best product doesn't come with any rubber glands for wire seal

Will be used on our old coal shed for the internal light that will be getting placed in their. I know a normal socket would have sufficed but just wanted a little extra piece f mind by using an external socket.

Contrairement à ce qu'on voit sur les photos de certains commentateurs il n'y pas de quoi rendre étanche l'entrée/sortie des câbles. Du coup l'interrupteur est peut-être étanche mais sans le câbler alors. Il aurait suffit de livrer de quoi rendre étanche au moins deux des orifices prévus.

Hier past einfach alles. Verarbeitung, absolut wasserdicht, dicke Membran zwischen Schaltwippe und Kasteninnerem die ein Weilchen halten wird. Diese dicke Membran erzeugt auch ein wunderbar weiches Schalten. Klasse Wechselschalter. Angebracht ist hier allerdings Kabelverschraubungen zu verwenden, um den Kasten Wasserdicht zu halten. Das halte ich fuer ganz wichtig, wenn man das nicht macht, kann man auch einfach nen standard-Schalter im Baumarkt holen. LED laesst sich leicht in verschiedenen Modi schalten. Von Haus aus ist sie AN wenn die Last 1 des Wechselschalters aus ist. (Damit man den Schlater im Dunklen gut findet). Kann man aber wie gesagt auch anders betreiben. Englishe Bedienungsanleitung ist gut gemacht - fuer die die Englisch verstehen, aber selbst wenn nicht, wenn man zufrieden ist, dass die LED an ist wenn der Schalter aus ist, braucht man die Anleitung nicht - und mal ehrlich, wer schonmal nen Lichtschalter angebaut hat, kann auch die LED Schaltung verstehen, auch ohne Anleitung. Einziger Nachteil, und der ist wirklich nicht so wild: Der Schalter ist recht gross und klobig - dafuer hat man viel Platz im Inneren ordentlich zu Verkabeln.
