BG Electrical Outdoor Double Switch with LED Indicator, Weatherproof, Grey, Nexus Storm, 2-Way, 20A, IP66 Rated, WP42

An excellent product at a decent price. Fitting was fairly simple, the quality of internal connections [usually a weak point] was more than adequate. After 2 months outside in the North Yorkshire weather it has proved fully waterproof. Even the little instruction leaflet was clearly written in understandable English.

Works perfectly. Switches lights and pump next to my outdoor 'water feature', connected via the breaker also from masterplug. No leaks, although I put it in a sheltered spot. Didn't need the light so I disconnected it.

Installed next to my hot tub to control the lights around it. Slightly unconventional install as I'm running a Shelly Plus i4 and Home Assistant to switch some smart bulbs and a WLED strip above the tub, but it works perfectly. The new design is significant'y better than the previous version as there's no longer any chance of stripping the screws if/when they start to rust. A quarter turn of the large plastic retainers and it's locked perfectly. My only wish would be if BG/Masterplug would make a 2 gang version of the outdoor retractive switch. Sure, you could potentially modify this one with a couple of springs but I'd prefer not to start hacking electrical devices (especially ones that are going to live outdoors).

My local hardware stores never seem to stock complete kits with boxes being opened / missing parts. This switch, delivered cost the same as in the high street chains and is much less hassle. Cable glands are needed to maintain its IP rating but the switch itself seems well built and seals up nicely. One annoyance is the 4 plastic screw covers, they are very fiddly to fit / remove and I lost one of them in the grass when I was putting the covers on after fitting/wiring the switch in. I always add some silicone grease to screw heads anyway when used outside to help resist corrosion.

Well made and, so far, has kept water out in an exposed position. However, I was concerned that the plastic "bung" on top of the plug which fits into an unused hole for a connector would leak water, so I put a thin film of silicone into the groove. If I hadn't done that, I would have been worried that water sitting on top of the plug would eventually find its way inside. A rubber bung which fitted more snugly would have given me more confidence.

Curiosamente hoy cuesta 18 Euros y yo lo compré por 12 euros. Hay que tener cuidado con los precios en estas cosas. Está montado en exteriores, en una terraza. Ningún problema. Es GRANDE. Y el plástico es bueno. Al menos de momento no se aprecia envejecimiento alguno.

Buon prodotto, a norma CE, con vite per collegamento terra separato dai due deviato che in base a come vengono collegati diventano interruttori. Spia a 220V su un solo deviatore per segnalare se la luce rimane accesa o spenta in un altra stanza, in base al collegamento che si vuole effettuare. Coperchietti rotondi copri viti di chiusura per esterni. Se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto, i due deviatore sono abbastanza rumorosi "clak"! Nell'insieme un ottimo prodotto, Amazon puntuale come sempre!
