Excellent cross shredder, works much better than expected, a pleasant surprise. I would recommend you also buy some Swordfish shredder oil lubricant, it works better with it. Without the oil paper gets stuck quicker and it struggles to shred the paper. When needed (read the instructions), apply the oil by sandwiching streaks of oil between 2 pieces of paper and feed it through,. After you have oiled it, 3 sheets of paper goes through very faster. If you plan to shred more than a carrier bag full of documents, remember to oil it now and again. After about an 45 minutes of constant use, t will get hot and the red light means it needs to cool down, however, you don't have to wait too long for it to work again, about 15-20 minutes, the red light changes back to green and it is ready to use again. I took a chance buying a smaller machine, I love it, it works well, I am glad I bought it. It cuts credit cards up efficiently and quickly too. It's the prefect size for the home but works just as well as other branded and larger machines. It stays under my desk, ready to use. I love this machine, it is the best one I have purchased and excellent value for the money, I paid just over £30, If you need a reliable cross shredder, I highly recommend this one.

Works well, we use it for 3 mins and then give it a half hour rest. Probably best for smaller jobs on that basis but have got through quite a big pile of shredding so far and it is doing a good job. It certainly beats using the scissors!

Got this out the box and started using it within 10 minutes - super simple to setup! Trust me, once you get going it's quite addictive. I couldn't stop shredding haha. And very therapeutic to finally shred away all that legacy paperwork you've been storing away in the back of your cupboard for the last 10-15 years! Everything is electronic based these days, so it's good to finally get rid of all that clutter paperwork no longer needs (phone bills, bank statements etc). Some tips: when the shredder bin looks full, give it a shake and you'll often find there's plenty more room still. When it REALLY looks full, remove the lid and shove the shredded paper down - you'll have lots of space again. Also ... it will go red (overheat) after 30 mins or so of non-stop shredding. This didn't bother me, I used the "cool down" time (roughly 30 mins) to tidy up all the shredding I'd done and organise the next batch of papers to shred. I had 1 paper jam during my shredding bonanza but I followed the manual which said spray some cooking oil on the paper jam and blades. It was resolved quite easily. The only 1 flaw I found with this product is the lid can sometimes get jammed in quite tightly and it can need a bit of strength and tug to remove the lid. I notice this only seems to happen if you don't put it on 100% correctly in the first place. Overall highly recommended for the price. More shredding for me tomorrow morning.. I can't wait !

Working great.had bought a Fellowes shredder and then instructions said to shred 2 sheet at a time.managed to cut 3 single sheets and then it started to jam.finally gave up and bought a Amazon basics.no problems so far

So fun to use. Really good, easy to put together and even does bank cards. Highly impresed.

Does a great job at shedding paper as well as credit cards.

Shredder does what it says, quickly and relatively quietly. The cut pieces are 5mm x 42mm which in my opinion is quite large, not exactly strip cut but longer than previous branded shredders I've owned. And it doesn't have a pull out cuttings bin, so you have to man-handle the top part of the shredder off the base bin to empty it. Would I recommend it ? Probably I wouldn't buy it again although the price and build quality are very good.
