I really like the concept of the game
I really like the concept of the game. We have only played a couple of times as have only just got it but I can see that there is the option to play a quick game without considering the strategic element (great for when playing the game my easily bored 5 year old) or play a much more complex and strategic version (perfect when playing with my 14 yr old). It is definitely the best board game I have bought in a while (I had been put off buying board games that my kids have wanted because they always seem to be expensive, poor quality and wither overly complicated to play or not very interesting or engaging). The game arrived promptly and was well packaged. The game itself is of high quality and excellent value for money compared to some of the other board games on the market.

Brilliant for strategic thinkers/gamers of all ages.
I don't often write reviews but I think this game deserved one. I purchased for my 7 year olds birthday. He is quite a strategic practical thinker and loves things like minecraft, lego, kapla and science. We have all played this a few times over the past few days with lots of kids of different ages. I would say you need to play one game alongside the instructions before you fully grasp it, but once you do it becomes really interesting and gets you thinking. It becomes quite addictive and it's so cool to see how the kids brains work. kept me interested and intrigued as an adult too which is unusual for an all-age board game. It's very good quality, nice heavy box, good quality pieces. Looking forward to playing it lots more. Would be interested to know what's different in the deluxe version as I can't work it out from the description.

Good service and well made
The game came very promptly and is well made and packaged. I have played the game with my two 11 yr grandchildren and we all found it very enjoyable and initially quite intriguing but I think it will soon become less of a challenge and may not hold their interest after several games - it may be that it is aimed at a slightly younger age - unless we are missing something !! Also sadly, my grandson split tea on some of the cardboard pieces so they are now more conspicuous than the rest !!

Great quality game
The game arrived in great time and packaging was good too. The board no tiles are made of great quality and not flimsy like some other cheap board games. I love that the game comes with little bags to keep the stones and tiles in so that they don't get lost. The rules are very simple to follow and learn but involve thinking about future turns. I play this with my 6 year old and she has grasped it very quickly and enjoys playing it. I myself love to play board games and would enjoy playing this with only adults so I don't think it's just a kids game. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes games. We usually take about half an hour to finish a game but I suppose it depends how far ahead you think about your turns.

A very enjoyable game.
A well thought out and well made game which my wife and I play regularly. It doesn't take too long to learn, and I found the online video tutorial easier to follow than the instruction manual which came with the game.We do however have some issues which we think could be improved upon: The board, because of the way it folds, won't lie completely flat. This may improve as it loosens up with age. There aren't enough half-stones supplied, and it would be very easy to run out. The instructions say to leave the tiles in a heap, face down, but we think putting them in bags is better, otherwise the position of some swapped tiles could be memorised for future use.A very good game though, and one we'll continue playing for years to come.

Good (but not great)
I bought this because it is currently one of the most popular board games on Amazon. We have enjoyed playing it a few times. The quality of the board and tiles are very good. The rules are clear and easy to learn for all recommended ages. The price is reasonable. It does not last for more than about 20 minutes a game. The game itself is OK but it feels as if it was designed by a committee, it is really just two-dimensional dominoes with some added bits and pieces. The problem I have with it is that virtually no strategy is involved beyond how to play your own tiles in the most effective way, you have no clue what tiles the other player(s) are holding so you can do nothing to make things more difficult for them, so it is a lesser game than something like Labyrinth which is more competitive and a real instant classic.Anyway, well worth buying for younger players as an alternative to other types of board game.

Colourful and fun game for all to enjoy
What a fun game! My friends all enjoy playing this and I just love the new vivid colours of the tiles since this game was revamped. Plenty of thought is required and there are different strategies involved to win the game by being the first to dispense of all your tiles. It doesn't take hours to play (about 30 mins on average) and could be a quicker one to finish off with at the end of the day. This is a game that will appeal to all ages and can be more thought provoking or as simple as you wish.

Looks promising from the hype, but needs better rules and proper design of packaging.
Very confusing rules. We play board games a lot, and have enjoyed similar games such as Quirkle and Ingenious, but found the rules confusing and had to resort to the Game Geek website to unravel them. Seems there is still quite a lot of debate about the rules, even on there. It seemed far too easy to win sunstones or halfstones, so probably even after searching online we still haven't found any meaningful strategy to make the play a challenge. Didn't live up to the hype.Added to that, the board is flimsy and won't lie flat, and when we tried to repackage the game after the first use, it did not fit neatly into the box. It was badly designed so that the components only fit into the box properly when the pieces were flat packed before use, and not once they had been pressed out and put in bags.

Great strategy game for kids and adults! So many ways to play also!
We (adult couple, late twenties) enjoy strategy games and this one was extremely easy to learn. The company even has a wonderful 3 minute video on YouTube to explain how to play so you don’t have to read the directions! This game can have as much strategy as you desire. A younger child could easily pick it up because you match the colors/shapes basically; however, you have wind pieces that move other pieces to set up for you next move. You want to get rid of all your tiles first. So, kids may take longer to master the strategy part of it but could still play and enjoy with adults. That’s awesome! This game is made of TOP QUALITY materials. The board is very thick and nicely printed. The plastic tile tray is thick and very nice with the name of the board game on the back and it holds 5 tiles perfectly. The tiles are thick plastic with stickers already on them so it’s ready to play out of the box. The gemstones are plastic and feel great in your hand. It also comes with a timer for other ways to play the game—which is also neat! The rules include several other ways to play the game so you can swap it out and it becomes a whole new experience if you want something different or more challenging. If you like board games or are looking to get into playing board games, this is a great intro game to get you started because it’s so easy to learn. I recommend showing the short video before having new people play with you so they have the gist.Buy this game!!! It’s well worth the money in quality product, fun game time (20 minutes each game), and ability to mix it up and play different versions WITHOUT any type of expansion packs.
