Venom Twin Charging Cradle: Black (Xbox 360)

I very rarely do reviews on amazon (although I should do more) but I thought now would be a great time to start. I needed a new battery pack for one of my controllers, after a lot of looking the best price for one was around £6. Then I stumbled upon this. When you take into consideration that the whole package is only £11 and the technology and ease of use it has it is an absolute bargain! The package came on time and after opening it, it was a case of simply plugging it in. From there the xbox controllers sit snuggly in the unit. Its safe to say that if you were to put just the battery pack directly into the cradle it is slightly more difficult. But if you have two controllers you shouldn't really need to do this. Quality is of a standard you would expect for the price and other reviews detailing the lights been so bright are correct, although a minor flaw again which can be easily resolved by applying common sense. The whole cradle looks neat and tidy and it has a long enough cable to connect to which ever device you like. Also bare in mind it is a USB connection but if, like me and every other person in the world, you have a phone then you can use the plug off that charger to plug directly into a mains socket. Another thing to note although again not really significant is that the battery packs do weigh slightly more than the standard ones but are of a high quality and fit well within the controllers.The actual charging time is quick and charges do last quite a significant amount of time so no worries there. Overall I couldn't be happier with this product and can't recommend it highly enough.When you take into account that included are two battery packs and charging cradle, there simply is no better alternative to charging your controllers.

I have had several official Xbox chargers over the years and there has always been a problem or quirk when charging them. For example my last one would say it was fully charged as soon as the Xbox was turned off, so could only be charged while playing. The two previous ones had different issues. This, has none. I have it plugged in to my Xbox through USB (it comes with no mains adaptor which would have been nice) and it charges even when the Xbox is turned off (through my Slim at least) so it is just a case of putting the controller back in the dock when I go to bed. It only takes a few hours to charge up and of course if the battery runs out there is always the spare. The only downside is that the packs don't charge properly unless there is some sort of pressure on them. So if you don't have two controllers to put them in, you will have to put a weight of some kind on the spare battery to charge it. I do have a spare Xbox controller for it so it isn't a problem. When I was testing it out though it didn't need much pressure. I rested my PS3 controller on top of it and that did the trick. So not really a problem, just a slight inconvenience. So overall a fantastic product and one I couldn't recommend highly enough if like me, you hit the Xbox pretty hard most days.

Great design for storage and charging solution. One battery pack failed to charge. Very quickly a replacement battery pack was sent by the supplier - so excellent aftersales support.

This is a nice device. Seems well made, looks good and functional. It attaches via a USB connection to your XBox (the front ones work fine) from where it'll charge the two included batteries in a couple of hours, even if your XBox isn't powered on (but is plugged in obviously!). The controllers dock into it very nicely, even with additional plastic 'skins' on them, which mine have. The dock provides an LED for each controller which displays red if charging and green when charged. So overall, very good. However! These are Venoms own batteries and charge via metal connectors built into the bottom of them - this works well, but obviously if you've got more than 2 controllers then you're going to have to buy additional venom batteries to go with them. For this reason, if I were buying again, i'd go for the desktop charger from 'that catalogue shop' which does the same good job of desktop charging, but doesn't need special batteries and is actually a bit cheaper (at the moment).

Worked well for the first month, but less than a year later the battery packs refuse to charge despite the docking station lighting up upon contact. I can't recommend this product.

I have been using the usb non dock batteries for the last 4 or so years and decided a dock would be great to tidy up around the TV. My son bought one a couple of years ago for use on the xbox in his roomand said it was great. Well,,,,,,, it is. It charges quickly, the batteries are easily as good as the microsoft ones, and if you don't have the dock with you at a mates then a standard mini usb cable will charge your handset. But no mistakes here the battery life is excellent. The only neg? Well you do have to make sure you place your handset properly on the dock, a quick look to see if the led is red will tell you if it needs settling a little. But to be honest every dock I have ever used has been the same on any platform Great value and great price. More importantly if it dies I will buy another

My original docking station batteries were past their best so I bought this set as its the same company that I have a docking station from for my Xbox1. So far it's performing as expected and looks smart too. Well worth the money. Edit: unfortunately I had to return it and had it replaced after a fortnight and now the replacement has failed too, in both cases the base unit fails to charge but the batteries are fine so I'll use my old 'tree charger' to charge the new batteries.

Funciona adecuadamente. Carga rápido y la carga dura bastante. Tal vez su único detalle es el acabado piano qué se raya demasiado.

Hallo Ich habe nun seit ein paar Tagen den "Xbox 360 - Twin Charging Cradle, schwarz [UK Import]". Eigentlich gibt es nicht wirklich viel dazu zu sagen, es tut wofür es gebaut wurde und das im moment sehr gut. Die 2 mitgelieferten Akkus haben eine Ladekapazität von je 900 mAh und fühlen sich leichter an als die Originalen von ihr wisst schon wem. Nach dem vollständigen Laden was ca. 1 1/2 - 2 Stunden gedauert hat, habe ich den Test gestartet und kann im moment sagen das sie so um die 11 Stunden funktionieren (reine Spielzeit über Nacht neben die Ladestation gelegt). Aber wer spielt schon so lange am Stück? :)) Also kann man sie nach dem zocken einfach wieder in die Ladestation stellen und damit ist das Thema leerer Akku passé. Wie das in einem Jahr mit den Akkus aussieht, kann ich hier noch nicht sagen. Wen es stört das damit ein USB Anschluss bei der XBOX 360 wegfällt, der kann sich ja für kleines Geld einen USB-Steckdosen Adapter kaufen. Das einzige was mich ein wenig stört, sollte mal ein Akku defekt sein, so muss man, falls man ersatz haben möchte, wieder dieses Set kaufen. Ich zumindest habe bisher noch keine möglichkeit gefunden die Akkus separat zu kaufen (sollte jemand wissen wo es sie einzeln zu kaufen gibt bitte mitteilen). Die normalen Akkus kann man hier jedenfalls nicht laden. Trotzdem 5 Sterne für das Produkt an sich. Im moment also eine klare Kaufempfehlung meinerseits. P.S.: Heute (2012) 1 Jahr und einen Tag später seit der Rezension, ein rückblick zu diesem Artikel. Die Akkus funktionieren immer noch wie am ersten Tag und ich kann wirklich nichts negatives zu diesem Produkt sagen. Also den "Langzeittest" (ich nutze den Artikel mehr oder weniger regelmässig) hat dieses Produkt mit bravour geschafft. Ehrlich gesagt hatte ich nicht damit gerechnet bei dem damaligen Preis von 14,95 Euro. Mal sehen, eventuell gibt es in einem Jahr wieder einen rückblick. ;) DEFINITIV EINE KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!!!! Update Freitag, 04.10.2013: Man glaubt es kaum aber alles IMMER noch im grünen Bereich. Ich habe bisher immer noch nicht den Eindruck das die Akkus irgendwie schlechter geworden sind. Die Ladestation tut immer noch das was sie tun muss --> Laden. Ok, ich spiele nicht mehr so oft. Meine Meinung mittlerweile, selbst wenn die Akkus jetzt langsam aufgeben würden, wäre ich nicht böse. Werde euch alle auf dem laufenden halten falls ich es nicht vergesse. UPDATE Samstag, 28.03.2015: Mittlerweile nutze ich die XBOXnur noch selten. Aber diese Akkus tun IMMER noch brav ihren Dienst!!! Alles ist immer noch VOLL im grünen Bereich. Alles was ich dazu sagen kann ist, wenn da nix in der Herstellung geändert worden ist, dann greift auf jeden Fall zu!!! UPDATE und gleichzeitig der Abschlussbericht ! Sonntag 07.07.2016 Die XBOX wird kaum noch genutzt aber die verdammten Akkus machen IMMER noch das was sie sollen. Comprati in quanto volevo rimettere in funzione la vecchia 360. Con le batterie e insuoi vani nonbfunzionavano e quindi ho cercato una batteria alternativa. Il prodotto arriva ben confenzionato e con un bel packaging. Estratto tutto e collegato a un carica batteria usb, inserite le batterie nei controller.. e hanno ripreso vita. Pienamente soddisfatto. Utilizzato per quslche ora il controller senza ricaricare, senza problemi.

Fonctionne parfaitement!
