Homefront Buffet Server and Warming Hot Plate - 2 in 1 Large Food Warmer Server - Stainless Steel - Adjustable Heat - Cool Touch Handles - Dishwasher Safe Lids (Extra Large Capacity)

Bought this product as i was planning a large family meal and thought, how am i going to keep all the food warm!. Looked on the internet for 2nd hand hostess trolleys etc but took the option of the Homefront food server. Excellent product, the large middle tray is very useful due to its size. Be aware though that the lids are plastic not glass, not a problem to me but not sure if thats made clear in the ad for it?. Easy to use and to clean. Havent used the hot tray option yet but as a food warmer its excellent and have used it a few times now.

We originally ordered and alternative product which arrived quite damaged, as it was the last one in stock and we needed it for a family Christmas, we ordered the homefront product in it's place. WE are very pleased with this product, the serving dishes are very large and easy to clean. It can be used also as a hot plate which is great for family brunches. I would recommend this product.

Keeps the food really hot when on high setting. The electric cable is way too short so you have to use an extension cable which is really annoying, hence only 4 stars. The lids being made of plastic means I won't wash them in the dishwasher but even being careful with them they have cracked around the edges with the heat from the trays, they have only been use about 5 times. I hope I will be able to get replacements when they are beyond use. On the up side the hot plate server takes the worry out of serving your food all at the same time and hot. It's great when my daughters are having a sleep over and they want a cooked breakfast in the morning, no more short order cooking for me, there's your food please help yourselves! To sum up, hot plates great but the lids are rubbish!

This was excellent. I used it to keep some left over Christmas food eg meats with gravy, veg, Yorkshire puddings. This is just for a little snack later. It’s easy to clean wash containers like you would a pot of veg and dried, ready for use again. Warming time is controlled as required so as not to dry out your foods. it’s a good size too for the 3 of us (2 of which are men who loves food) but plenty big enough for about 6. Used it since then for warming food when ever needed.

I thought this was the best and largest buffet warmer I could find. When it arrived I was very pleased, I used it once on Christmas Day and there was plenty of room for all veg and roast potatoes. Unfortunately the LARGE and one of the SMALL "PLASTIC" lids cracked both sides. Wether this was the heat of the unit or not I don't know, but they shouldn't have cracked with one use only. Lots of these buffet warmers have plastic lids, I wonder if anyone else has had any trouble with plastic lids. I am looking for another buffet warmer but haven't found one as large as this one, but have found smaller ones with glass Pyrex lids. Shame because i really liked the large Homefront warmer, if they could provide better quality lids.

Product is just what was wanted. Unfortunately upon opening the largest lid was cracked in 2 places. Having contacted the manufacturer and also the seller to try and get a replacement lid nobody wants to deal with the problem. My rating is more for the rubbish customer service than the product

We had 50 people over to the house for buffet style dinner recently. I looked at renting a bain marie to help us cater for this many and they were £50+ per day - then I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. We have 2 slow cookers which I used for the 'mains' (curry and stroganoff) and we needed this for rice, potatoes and veg. It worked perfectly. All the food was kept perfectly hot and we have it to use again and share among other family members should the need arise - so much better than renting one.

Had 11 for lunch yesterday and this unit was fabulous. Kept half a dozen vegetable sides hot and took a lot of the pressure off. Washes really easily too. Very pleased with this purchase.
