This works well, is easy to use and comes with clear instructions but the testing strips are expensive if you buy privately.

I will admit to having my doubts about this machine given the price but considering it’s recommended by the British Diabetic Association so I took a chance on it. I’m am particularly impressed. Pros - firstly there is no getting away from the fact that this is a very inexpensive machine but I would it’s great value for money. The machine is easy to use, the pack comes with testing solution (definitely a perk) 10 strips, 10 lancets the machine and the lancet pen. All of this comes in a little carry case. Cons - the lancet pen is very weak, even on the highest setting it’s hard the get a blood sample, when setting the pen up I’ve never had to pull the end back to ‘arm’ it, it always sets just from setting it up. You only get 10 testing strips, given you have to rebalance the machine when you first get it and then each week, if you’re only testing once a week you’d only get 4 tests out of it. Replacement strips on Amazon run at approx £15 for 50 with lancets a similar price. Again not high on the market place. Be warned the batteries come already installed in the machine, perk batteries included but this gave me pause on whether the machine was new or had been previously used. After reading many reviews it seems they put batteries in to do final testing of the machine at the factory and leave them. This can cause the batteries not to last depending on the time between testing and purchase but any battery life is better than having batteries not included. Overall a great little machine would highly recommend.

Gives a quick bold large blood sugar reading at a very reasonable price. Pack contains a nice carry case, test strips, needles and a finger pricking pen . HOWEVER bulky and heavy to carry around due to batteries ( not rechargeable). Test strips are very, very expensive . More than the cost of the entire meter kit for just one a tube

I already had two different blood glucose monitors when deciding to buy this since I was not sure about them and just wanted to be reasonably sure, that is to say, as sure as one can be with these machines. My other two machines were reading slightly differently and this one reads in-between the two so I am of the opinion it is fairly accurate, but probably so are the other two. I know from years of use and other users that no matter which machine you use, you can get different readings within 5 or 10 minutes of testing, there is no 100% accuracy and I know it is the same with those used in doctors surgeries, having been tested by a nurse in one and then by a doctor just 5 minutes later and got different results. I have the feeling that most of these machines work in the same way regardless of price and this one does seem to be on a par with most of them. I consider it to be good value for money and I am happy with it. It's easy to use, I just switched on and was ready to go.

I bought another one of these because my old one (same one) had broken, it came and was good, I was taking out the batteries of my old one and then just out of curiosity pushed the reset button (-which no, I did not actually realise existed 🤦🏻‍♀️) reinserted a testing strip and the thing worked absolutely fine. This was after going through an entire box of testing strips which every single one errored on. I arranged a same day delivery of same monitor. So my review of the product is two fold - I was well impressed with Amazon getting one to me same day (it did take all day - but I don’t have to wait tomorrow 🤷🏻‍♀️) but I think I was also impressed that my original nexus monitor had not given up the ghost. Then I was a little annoyed that I’d bought a new one for absolutely no reason. However I was that happy with the operation of this product I bought another one in a heartbeat so it shows me how impressed I was with this one - plus I had a load of test strips gir it 🤦🏻‍♀️
