To buy or not?
The Masterplug socket is solid and reliable, and it feels well made. It does exactly what you need with no issues, and the build quality is better than a lot of cheaper alternatives. Overall, it’s good value for money and I’d happily buy it again.

Solid, reliable extension lead
Needed a long lead to run my telly along a different wall and this did the job perfectly. The 5 metre cable is plenty long, sockets feel sturdy, and everything I’ve plugged in works fine. Out of the box it was ready to go in minutes. Only tiny gripe is the cable naturally coils when unpacked, so it can look a bit untidy until you secure it with clips or mounts. Once that’s done, it sits nicely along the skirting. Good, no-nonsense extension lead that does exactly what it should.
