Very good sanding block for fine furniture and 'difficult areas'.

Ideal for the Fiddly Bits
Long lasting, solid enough to get a good grip, and excellent for corners and rounded surfaces Tip: Not for large, flat surfaces, but a special purpose sponge for doing the tricky bits: extra cost is worth it for the reduction in swearing if trying to force a block into a tight corner!

Overpriced
In my experience and I used a great many of these before the price went from pence to pounds. They are useful for avoiding putting dust everywhere but they dont last any longer than a piece of sandpaper with the same surface area because that's all they are after all. Sandpaper on a sponge block. I used to use them only on doors (not now because of the price) because sanding at low level like on skirtings wont send dust everywhere unlike a door which is six feet up where dust has further to fall and can travel further. Now I use ordinary wet and dry paper wrapped around a cork block. 3M are the best quality of those available and I found one block was about enough to do one side of one door with mouldings.

Can't go wrong for those light sanding projects
Found this easy to to use and very effective. Good ergonomic design, supremely easy to handle and maneuver, this is a very adaptable sanding sponge that effortlessly does the biz. Also withstands plenty of use, which makes it excellent value. Can't go wrong for those light sanding projects.

Fine sander
This is a palm sized sponge-like sander. Quite fine so good for finishing rub down on more delicate pieces. As it is spongy you can ft it round odd shapes and spheres. Small enough to pack away in the tool box and does its job very well.

So much easier to use than sandpaper. And they can be rinsed and reused. Especially handy to have on hand for impromptu sanding. And not a major investment.

These blocks are junk and barely last. They actually tear up easily too and I find just folding sand paper sheets gets into cracks better than these blocks. At least if you use a good quality sheet paper that isn't 3M brand. Most 3M sandpaper or blocks are just junk. Back in my college days of wood working that's all that was really available, other than really cheap dollar tree stuff, locally. Now that you can find more brands online, 3M feels like a joke. Cheaply made and barely do the job.

I got this to sand my skid plate on my Rebel. It did exactly what I needed it to do.

Do NOT waste your money on these 3M "Sandblaster" sponges. I got a 180 and a 320 and BOTh were absolute crap. Zero grit. A cat's tongue would do a way better job than this garbage.
