Q: Will this work to connect windows 10 laptop with hdmi to external monitor with vga?

Yes. I purchased it for my son's gaming PC that only had DVI and HDMI graphics ports. We used it to connect from one of the HDMI ports to a VGA monitor. Worked instantly - even though the PC thinks an HDMI screen is connected - which it isn't.

Q: Can you confirm if this adapter is still working after months of usage? If yes, how often do you use it? Thank you.

I have used it just five times but each time it was fine, good video from the VGA and audio from the jack socket. It looks well made so I don't expect it to fail anytime soon.

Q: I have a new laptop with hdmi ports but my projector is still vga will this convert the signal ?

99% certain that it will do the job. My output is HDMI and the monitor input is VGA; the adapter worked straight out of the box. I havent tried the audio connection but best guess is to use the 3.5mm to 3.5mm connector and plug into any remote speaker.

Does your xbox have female HDMI connector, if so, should do. First carefully evaluate illustrations on amazon to confirm
