Bought this bag as a replacement for a Targus that had lasted very well over nearly four years of daily use before the Targus main zip track broke.It's the first Amazon Basics product I have tried, bought on Amazon Prime Day at half price, but even at full price is an absolute bargainI bought the 15.6in bag hoping it was big enough as my old one was 17in, but it is a perfect fit for a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop, which measures 16in corner-to-corner, and the laptop fits comfortably without sliding around.The bag seems very well made, I have used it for work for a few months now and it still looks like new:> zips seem strong> front pocket zip corners are reinforced with orange stitching, that presumably strengthens this but also looks nice and contrasts with the black fabric elsewhere> the lining throughout is a sort of mid-grey ripstop nylon, which is a bit scratchy but looks strong and durable.> the main pocket is roomy but the other two are also big enough for cables (full size charging block), mice etc.. having had many bags over time, weak areas always seem to be zips and handles rather than the bag itself: the Amazon Basics bag has strong looking zips (too early to assess real durability of course) and the handles, whilst simple in design (fabric rolled over a reinforcing piece) look well-made.To be honest, at the price it's a steal and you can't really go wrong: I also bought an Italian leather laptop bag from an online auction but actually prefer and use the Amazon bag as it's so functional.Highly recommended to all lovers of quality bargains !

Every thing you could need in a laptop bag, it takes my 17.3 laptop comfortably , has plenty of pocket space and seem nicely made, you can pay a lot more for these, this one is fine for the price

One star off because it can not be zipped up with my Alienware 15 R4. This is however a very large laptop for the screen size and it does fit widthways no problem. My 14" Dell Latitude 5420 fits easily. There's the usual array of inside pockets and there are 3 separate zipped compartments, the smallest at the front being a bit larger than A5, the middle one being a slightly thinner version of the one you put the laptop in. There's a little padding on the bottom half of the bag, probably not enough to offer much protection if you drop it, but it is a budget bag. The strap is fairly comfortable in use and you also have the handles on the bag if you prefer. There's a lot of choice around this price point, but I've found Amazon Basics stuff is usually pretty good for the price you pay and this bag is another example of that.

I had been looking for a similarly styled and sized bag for ages but none fit the bill, and ironically cost a fortune too. I opted against some of these as they lacked a shoulder strap altogether. However, since this one had both handles as well as a shoulder strap and seemed stylish enough, I thought I'd give it a try. I have been using this bag for a good few days now and am absolutely convinced that its difficult to find another bag that provides greater value for money.Price & Packaging- I paid £9.99 for the 11.6 inches bag- It came in the frustration free Amazon packaging that includes a cardboard box with the bag wrapped in a transparent plastic bagDimensions- Approx. external dimensions are (W x H x D) - 33.5 x 26 x 4 cm- My 10.1 inch netbook fits in it with no issuesConstruction & Quality- The outer part of the bag is made of waterproof material and for me has already endured some rainy days- It has both a pair of handles along with a shoulder strap- The plastics parts used in the shoulder strap don't seem like they are of the best quality. They do look a bit cheap but I've had no issues so far- The zips seem to be of good quality, but I haven't yet been able to test them over a significantly long period of time so only time will tell- There is a monogram on the front of the bag that says "Amazon Basics". Its a good looking monogram with some orange color in them. The zips are similarly Amazon branded.- The bag sports 3 pockets in total, the main pocket, a middle pocket and a front pocket- There are a further 3 sections in the main pocket of the bag. 2 of these are side sections only big enough to hold some smaller items like documents or pens etc. whereas the third section is the main section in the center of the bag designed to hold the bulk of the items including a laptop/netbook or similar- The middle pocket doesn't have a lot of space and is meant to hold other bit and bobs with some pockets designed for holding pens etc.- The front pocket again is designed to hold smaller items but I use it to store my eReader (Sony) with no issues at all.Practicality- The bag isn't designed to hold a lot of items but is still big enough to carry everyday items. I carry my Fulton umbrella, my eReader, occasionally a book along some other bits and bobs with no issues at all (see pics)- The shoulder strap does not have adequate padding, and if carrying some weight over an extensive period of time then can be somewhat tiring/uncomfortable- The strap is adjustable to adapt to most persons preferences/heightsConclusion- The bag seems to have a lot of pockets but practically can only hold so many items. It does not have a lot of space but is great if used for carrying only a few itemsThis is a great looking bag and I am pretty satisfied with this product- It is stylish, practical and only costs a tenner- Looking at this bag does makes one wonder why other, fairly similar products, are severely over priced- If you are not particularly brand conscious, then this bag is for you- This bag is simply great value for money.

Big fan of Amazon Basics. Love this bag. In the short time I have had it, it's been to Paris and New York. Very good size, good capacity, lots of handy pockets and it looks good too. Easier to deal with at airport security and immigration. It also has a much more comfy shoulder strap than my last bag. On walking treks around cities, that's invaluable.

good quality and nice fit for a basic item

This is a surprisingly good quality case for my laptop. Its nice and sturdy. Good size pockets for cables, etc, too.
