Hello Dear Customer The knowledge of electronic is it will not display the amperage when the machine under the no-load condition, that means under the condition of without any load. Please take a look of below instruction of how a power supply works on Current? With empty load Current is unable to be regulated at empty load circunstance. Current adjustment A limit current is usally needed when we work on some project. To set a limit for current, we have to first of all empty the load, turn down the voltage to the mimium, shorten the power supply, and finally turn the current knob both coarse and fine to get a desired value. Q: How to enter Constant Current mode?

The PS is weird to operate. If you turn on a little voltage and then turn up the current, it will be in Constant Current, vice versa, a little current and turn up the voltage, it is in Constant Voltage. The manual is completely worthless. If I had it to do again, I would get a supply that had a switch for the mode. This one works fine, but it is very confusing.
