Awesome cage but Instructions had errors! See photos.
I am very pleased with this cage! It was a definite upgrade in size for my bird, so I think she's extremely happy in her new home! Once we had it put together its a great sturdy cage on wheels. I do wish the wheels had a brake or lock to keep it from rolling too much, but thats ok. It comes with 2 long perches that go all the way across, but I ordered more natural perches that vary in size and shape. The large access door is very handy, but my toddler figured out how to open it within a few minutes, so I may have to find something to secure it so she doesn't harass the bird too much. The food cups sit behind the little doors, which I think will deter my bird from messing with the doors and slamming them like she used to. She's a bit skittish, so to get our bird successfully transferred we set the assembled empty cage right next to the old one for about a day. While we slowly started moving her favorite things into it, we set a new toy and snack on top of the new cage, and gave her time to get curious enough to climb on top to check it out. We made sure she had her favorite nesting spot (a hollow coconut) to feel safe in, and then officially transferred her. It wasn't long at all before she was happily exploring and playing! Assembly was not super hard, but also a pain. It was simple enough because it was just a handful of screws and nuts, and it even comes with a handy little screwdriver. Some of the instructions were straightforward, but we ran into a wall of confusion, that derailed our work for quite some time, when we thought we were missing pieces! Turns out the instructions sheet was wrong! I'll include photos in case you get the same set of instructions I did: It says that there are 2 of Part #8, but there was only 1! Which makes sense because the stand that the cage sits on only had 1 shelf. Also when you look at Part #10, it may help to understand that the little loops are pointed in different directions. The top loops point straight up and they help secure the cage sitting on top of it. The bottom of this piece also has loops, but they are pointed sideways. The shelf piece sits on top of these. In the instructions diagram #1, don't forget the 2 small bars at the bottom (part #7), those hold up the tray! On diagram #2, some of the pieces are drawn wrong so it's confusing to look at. But I think if you go by the part numbers, you'll get it right. I hope this helps!

Great value, sturdy!
Cage was easy to put together. Very sturdy design and secure for my parakeet.

Perfect for Parakeet
Great cage! Excellent value, EASY to put together alone. The cage is nice looking, very sturdy. I owned a parrot for 37 years and know a lot about cages. This cage is built for easy daily cleaning. This cage is just as nice as the cage I bought for my parrot, for many hundreds of dollars more. This will be perfect for my new parakeet.

Nice cage for our birds!
We got this cage after getting two budgies without much experience. We had a different cage that we kept them in together at first, but decided to separate them per the recommendation of a bird trainer, so we got two of these to keep them in. Assembly of these is harder than our first cage that mostly just snapped together. This cage is of a sturdier material, so screws are required. The instructions were poor on these and it was unclear which screws went where. I had to search YouTube to figure it out. There are two length of screws that come with this. The screws that there are more of go for putting the cage together and the shorter screws are for putting the stand together. Overall, we like them for our birds. They're a good size and the birds have a bit of room to fly/climb around in them. We don't use the perches that came with it and instead got some natural wood ones to put inside to give them more options and to be better for their feet. My biggest complaint is that if you're cleaning out the bottom of the cage (the tray under the grate) there's nothing to catch their droppings. It would have been nice if they had included a flat panel under the tray to catch them when cleaning the cage. We try to do it now when they're out so they can't escape when we don't want them to. Also, if you take the grate out, they can escape out of the bottom of the cage too. A larger bird would have a harder time if you just took the grate out and left in the tray, but if you take them both out, there's no bottom to the cage anymore. It's totally open to the floor. These cages are good value for the money as long as you work past their few shortcomings.

Zen 53 inch bird flight cage
It is a handsome strong well made cage. Very large for my lone free flying bugie but she is is getting used to it. Make sure you put the grate over pan. I didn’t at first and she fell between that and the opening and almost broke her neck. My b fault butt was there to rescue he and fix the problem

Definitely read the different reviews
My likes and dislikes of this cage. Likes first 1. The cage is big and roomy but only for the smaller types of birds such as parakeet, lovebirds ,finches ect. 2. It has a slide out tray and makes cleaning 10,000 times easier. 3. multiple places for the food bowls (so if you want you can have pellets in one bowl and fruits/veggies in the other) Now for the DiSlikEs 1. And this may have not happened to everyone who bought the cage but when i was building the stand i noticed that the side holes did not match up, which meant that i could not screw the side and length pieces together but i came up with the idea to zip tie them which did work but if your planning to buy this cage for a larger bird (which i do not recommend) then you have to assume this might happen to you as well and that the stand might not be able to withstand the weight of your bird and collapse. yikes! dangerous! so keep that in mind. 2. the cage is sort of flimsy so again do not recommend for larger birds! 3. this dislike has nothing to do with the cage itself but the instructions they were terrible did not explain a thing! Overall, i really like this cage i would recommend for you to buy it the build is quite elegant and yet classy. I myself was really worried and nervous when buying it but i'm very happy i did and i think you just have to take a leap of faith but its different for everyone. You should read the other reviews and come to a decision after weighing the pros and cons and i wish you luck!!! ( it took me about and hour to build by myself so not to bad?)

Take Your Time Building It
I love the size of this cage, and the gray metallic finish looks nice. Once everything is put together and tightened down it feels very sturdy. There were a lot of comments about the assembly of it in other reviews that gave me pause. But if you really look closely at the directions and take your time it comes together quite nicely. It did seem to be a little out of square as I was putting it together, but if you wait to tighten everything down until you have all four sides, the top, and the bottom braces on and then tighten things up it squares up. It was nice that they included a Phillips screwdriver, but you will need a wrench to hold the nuts in place as you tighten the bolts down. As one reviewer commented, the bolts are quite short which makes it a little more difficult but if they weren't they it would run into the cage wire. Also, the reviewer who talked about having space at the top for the birds to escape had assembled the sidewalls upside down. You could tell that just by looking at the product photos 😮 I get what they were going for with not having the cage secured to the cart, but we did go ahead and zip tie one to the other for safety around our other pets. With that little upgrade it does feel very safe. The shelf underneath will definitely come in handy as well! I can't speak to how long the finish and so forth will last, but I have no doubt that it will last the normal lifespan of a couple budgies.
