Wonderful!
I will never buy another brand of printer than Epson again. During this past year, I have tried three other brands. I have returned all three of them due to faulty parts, not getting it to communicate with my computer, etc. I had an Epson years ago and it lasted a long time but when it was time to replace it, for some stupid reason, I chose another brand. Never again! This Epson was so easy to install and I was printing within minutes! I am a 70+-year-old woman and I have no patience for fiddly things that don't work right away. Besides that, I am not really a computer whiz so if it doesn't work, my knowledge is limited in how to fix it. No need. It worked right away - no problems. Highly recommend!!

Great printer
Ideal for home use, especially with ink contract works out very reasonably cost wise. Does all I need and more. Fiddly to set up but once done works well.

5250 avoid.
Where to start. I had an old trusty epson that was a few years old but was sick of the rear tray feeder and wanted an upgrade anyway so went with a brand I knew (always had epson for years) So I went with this 5250.Upon opening the box it was nice, decent bottom paper feeder and clear buttons etc.Set it up with supplied ink cartridges and after printing a test pasge it said low ink, which I presumed was a ink cartridge made to just set up the printer. Luckily I had bought an extra set of cartridges (genuine) So popped them in and I was all set. Printed 5 black and white documents (which was slow to print and slow for the printer to receive the information) and I get a pop up "low on ink and toner" impossible. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt checked the ink cartridges and they were actually empty! Even though they were full when I put them in half hour before? Also the coloured ink was all gone and empty even though I had only printed 4 sheets of black and white documents.OK, I will still give it the benefit of the doubt, bought a universal cartridge (because it could of been a fault with the epson cartridge)Same thing happened although it did let me print a bit more this time.... 12 pages black and white documents. Yes the coloured ink and black says empty.Anyway that aside. Whenever I clicked print, it would send the info to the printer, and the printer would say printing straight away but took 3 minutes to actually start printing. Not good. Done a quick search and apparently it's an "ongoing issue fault" with Epson, but of course they aren't doing anything about it they are just letting people complain and not even addressing it, also it's not just this computer it's actually a couple of them in this series. The wait time to actually print something feels like I'm back in 2003.The money I've wasted on ink is terrible so I've sent it back.Nowadays printers should be straight forward and easy. After this blip I won't go back to epson again it's put me off, waiting for an order off a different brand.Maybe me and a few others on here had a faulty batch? Who knows but I'm not risking it.

Great quality but poor instructions
First off, the product is extremely well packaged and easy to unbox, even if you have arthritis, as even the tape comes off easily. The instructions, however, are very poor. The video is hard to follow especially if, like in my case, your printer head doesn't spontaneously move to the filling position. You just have to play with the setting manually till you find a way to put it in the right position. Once you manage to get it unstuck, the setup is a smooth thing. The software comes with several options and the quality of the scanner is very good for home use. The printer is of acceptable quality.Biggest drawback: you cannot set up the scanner unless you set up the printer first. So, if you printer head is stuck, you will have to figure out how to get it unstuck manually, as you can't do the set up via computer unless you insert the cartridges and there's no option for moving the printer head to the right position if you have never used it before. Bummer.Second drawback: the cartridges (black plus 3 separate coloured inks) are very difficult to open, even with the scissors, because they need to be held in the right position and there are some bits of the cartridges you must not touch with your skin. So if you have dexterity challenges it is VERY difficult. So overall it's good quality for the price, but if you are neurodiverse or your dexterity isn't up to pair you might need assistance to set it up.

No instructions at all
I had to look for the manual online but I’m still having trouble with the new ink cartridges. It printed fine with the original ones but they didn’t last long and I can’t change the seemingly faulty black cartridge that I’ve put in. Instructions need to be included and a lot more thorough. On the plus side though, it’s great for double sided printing, and not at all complicated.

Ease of use
Worked great straight from the box, clear and sharp printing. Easy to set up, prints from my phone.

Not a very reliable or a quality product
The printer has all the basic features but the reliability of basic printing function is questionable. There are very requent paper jams. The ink gets spilled over on the first few prints every time. The print quality is not very good for as coloured text seems faded. The noise is enormousOverall not a very good choice even for basic printing
