Not cheap. Really good quality.
I work with shears for a living. These are not cheap knickoffs, but rather really lovely,well-crafted shears. They are weighty, as they are made of real steel. If you intend to use them constantly, without a break, they will tire your arm out. I use them for pattern and piece cutting, with plenty of time between uses, so they work fine for me. So far, mine has kept a sharp edge without issue, and i don't anticipate needing to sharpen them for quite a while. Beautiful shears. I would feel comfortable gifting them to someone, or recommend them to anyone.

AN ELEGANT LARGE SCISSORS
These scissors look very special and definitely are for cutting cermonial ribbons at events but just as great cutting fabrics and so on. Very fancy elegant looking if you are wanting a large scissor at a good price and cuts well.

Using them is better - than you know what,,,
OOOOOOOH This is better than sex! (Will I be allowed to say that?) NOBODY is going to abuse these scissors and cut out their newspaper tokens, sticky collage bits, open amazon cardboard boxes with them or whatever else you horrid mucky people do... indeed NO ONE shall touch them except myself! For at last I have beautiful heaven sent proper dressmaking shears which slide through fabric, every type of fabric, leaving not a fray on an edge, but slicing with such precision and perfection and ease and beauty and it's soooo lovely to use them I may have to go and cut some more fabric out. Like I said, it's much more satisfying using these scissors than doing that other thing.

Nice and sharp blades. However the handles some times collide with each other when closing, stopping the ends of the blades meeting.
