They provide peace of mind
Bought these for my housemate who has questionable knife skills. Makes me cringe every time I watch her slicing and dicing. She does use them which makes me believe she worries also. So now I don't have to make sure the first aid kit is handy in case of a spurting arterial wound, ha, ha. Seriously, she scares the bejeebus out of me when she grabs one of my chef knives. Not anymore thank goodness.
