Pro Pooch Dog Ear Cleaner Pro Pooch Dog Ear Cleaner is so different, to begin with, the price is very reasonable and after the first time of use, when I ask him if he wants his ear cleaned our dog actually comes and sits in front of me. Pro Pooch Dog Ear Cleaner uses natural ingredients like citrus extracts and oils which seem to work very well. The previous ear cleaner contained solvents (alcohol) so I expect it stung especially on his sore ears. Unlike the previous ear cleaning solution supplied by our vet, which I was never very keen on using, because I could see that it caused our Golden Retriever some discomfort, maybe not a lot but enough that he would try to hide when I got the bottle out, on top of that it was very expensive as are most vet medications. In the box with the bottle are several large cotton buds, some cotton wool and a nozzle top that opens and shuts to screw on in place the screw-cap. In fact everything needed to clean your dog’s ears. In use the cleaner works very well in getting the wax and debris out of the ears. Golden Retrievers have droopy ears so they need pulling up in order to get inside, the large cotton buds are perfect for cleaning inside the ears and large enough (with care) to avoid pushing them in too far. I used a cotton bud first followed by some cotton wool with plenty of cleaner on. The included instructions suggest pouring the solution directly into the ear. I did this on the first try but I could see that he wasn’t very happy with that so subsequently I just soaked the cotton bud and cotton wool to gently wipe in as far as I thought was good. That way some of the solution would inevitably find its way into the deeper ear recesses for him to shake out afterwards. Any solution left soon dries away leaving the ear free of moisture, a good thing with drooping ears. Results were as good as and probably better than the old treatment, improvement was showing after just a day and the problem was cleared by the third or fourth day. I have used the cleaner regularly since and there is no sign of any problem returning. The smell is mild and quite pleasant and as mentioned earlier, it dries quickly. With all the extras this makes a good and complete ear cleaning kit. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this for my golden lab, since she’s been suffering with her ears for quite some time now - constantly shaking her head, itching so much that she’s either drawing blood or making her poor ears incredibly red. I’d tried in vain to help her; vets were basically useless, coughing out £50-60 a time for a quick fix that didn’t last, so I turned to amazon and found this. First impressions were good, both her ears seemed to improve almost immediately, the usual thick, dark wax was thinning by the day, the redness was easing, everything was good! Been using it for two weeks and while it’s worked on one of her ears, the other still seems to get a build up of wax and irritation is still there. Nonetheless, I’m going to continue to use it and hope for the best.

As a doctor, I rigorously examine the ingredients of anything I use on my dogs. This product is a breath of fresh air indeed. It contains nothing which will cause harm to you or your pet. And it really works. It is beautifully packaged, and easy to use with clear instructions. I used this on my Labrador who had sore itchy ears with lots of head-shaking. This product soothed and cured the problem within three days. This is the only product I could find which has ingredients which not only work but which cause no harm. I was shocked to see that another product on Amazon for dog's ears,' Epi-otic ear cleaner' contains chloroxylenol, which is an industrial disinfectant - actually the active ingredient in Dettol. Another product on Amazon, the so-called 'Vet's Best' ear wipes contain parabens, which are strongly believed to be an endocrine disruptor and implicated breast cancer (see Breast Cancer UK website for more on this). So, I highly recommend this Pro Pooch ear cleaner.

Our dog started to get brown gunk collecting in her ear, shaking her head a lot. Read the reviews and thought this seemed like a good purchase. On the positive, it seems pretty good at cleaning the ear. On the negatives, if like my dog the gunk is caused by what turned out to be an infection, then in my experience this doesn't work. I used it as described but the infection causing the gunk never went away so the gunk kept returning each night. With all the brown stuff you'll manage to wipe away with damp cotton wool you might be fooled into thinking it's working. But it's not, it's treating the symptoms and not the cause. I also found it difficult to control how much came out it of the bottle. Often it was too much and it's like a scented water, very runny. In the end I took my dog to the vets to get some prescription drops which were much thicker, used in a similar way and the infection cleared up and with it the gunk. This product in my experience is more like a mild cleaner which to be fair is how is described in the title but it didn't stop our dog shaking it's head, which is also what the description says it will do. Unless you are absolutely sure your dog only had dirty ears and not an infection which is causing the gunk, I'd recommend a visit to the vets to treat the infection and clear it up properly with the vet's medication.

This product is amazing! My friend has a 10 year old labradoodle and she unfortunately gets very bad infected ears which needs drained from the vet or steroids or any other antibiotics they have gave her in the past, obviously all this costs a fortune and my friend was struggling to keep up with the bills and with not much success to the problem either, I found this and seen the reviews and thought I would give it a try for her and I am not joking when I say within 48 hours it had all cleared up, the smell from the dogs ears was gone and the dog wasnt even shaking her head anymore, we couldn't believe it and I have now used it on my own labrador and recommended it to another friend who had a shiatsu with a bad ear infection and again within 48 hours their dog was so much better, and so was the owners after the amount of money they had spent at vets also....In a nutshell I would say this is so much better than the trips to the vet including the bills on top of it and for the price of this product its a no brainer, I would highly recommend this. It doesn't have much of a scent, it's easy to use (although I would say it's a 2 person job) depending on how well your dog sits for you that is, but simple to use. Forget the vet bills and give this a go!

Very gentle ear cleaner, my dogs love it and actually get very excited when I get the bottle out. Loved the giant ear buds and wipes that came free of charge, just makes everything very easy. Both my dogs were shaking their heads and rubbing their ears but there was an 8 day wait for a Vet appointment, I saw the reviews for this product and thought it was worth a try to see if it could ease their discomfort. Product arrived next day, carefully packaged so no leaks. I also got an email from the seller giving full instructions and offering their telephone number if I needed any help! Wow what great personal service! Now to the product - it’s absolutely fabulous! I’ve got two Labradors who’ve always had quite dirty ears and I thought that was just the way they were made. However after just the first use the amount of dirt and wax that came out was quite horrific but it gave immediate relief to the head shaking and rubbing of ears. The second treatment the next day also removed some wax but my labs now have absolutely pristine ears. I’ve reduced the use down to weekly but I think I could go fortnightly now but not really a chore and I can do both dogs in five minutes. Wish I’d heard of this product years ago, please give it a go, I’m sure you won’t regret it. George and Harry say a great big woof of thanks.

I bought this after noticing an unpleasant odour emanating from my golden doodles ears. He jumped a little the first time I squirted it into his ears, but really loved it being rubbed into the base of his ears and was happy enough for them to be wiped afterwards. The smell immediately disappeared after one application and they still smell fresh a couple of weeks later. The cleaner is easy to apply and use and Does what it says. Delivery was very quick and wellpackaged. The only negative is the small number of special ear buds enclosed for cleaning the ears(or it would be five stars).

My dog had an ear infection to which we took him to the vet, he had an injection and they gave an ear cleaning solution which was used twice a day for a week as recommended. However as the days went on the odour from his ear continued, the itching as well as the wax from his ear, and for days and days on I kept using the ‘vet recommended’ product. To the end of the bottle. At this point his ear infection was still not gone and I had to buy another one. Which is where I found this product, now reading the reviews of people saying it works so well and it worked so quick, I didn’t think it was so true but I was still compelled by the reviews. So after ordering and receiving this product I can happily say I am so satisfied with this product! I have used it on my dog twice a day for two days and once a day for the following couple. I left it for a few days as it seemed like it went. But by now with the other product, the infection in my dogs ear would have come back and it would have been the same cycle over again. Yet I was amazed to see very little excess coming out of his ear! His ears have become so clean and after trying to clean his ear repeatedly with the other cleaner for as long as I can remember, as the vet recommended it wasn’t working. But this one is truly amazing! I will continue to use this on him every other day or every week because the solution has honestly worked wonders. I was shocked to see that a bottle given to me by the vet didn’t work as well as this one. But I would 100% recommend this product my dog hasn’t been itching his ears as much, it doesn’t smell, it is 10 times more cleaner. I’ve gotten the best results from this product I am a happy customer!
