Impressed - can read GIA laser inscription
This is fantastic! No idea if it is x60 but it is more powerful than a standard x30 loupe I also purchased at the same time. I purchased this x60 microscope style loupe and a standard style x30 loupe to read hallmarks on some jewellery I recently inherited. Both work well for this task although the standard style worked better for hallmarks inside rings (due to shape and accessibility). Where this stood out is that I was able to read the GIA laser inscription on the girdle of my diamond engagement ring! Don't get me wrong it's small, you need 2020 vision.. but I can make out the number perfectly well. I wasn't expecting it to work that well. I can't see it at all using the x30. For the price it is an excellent little loupe.

Great for Inspection
I bought this item specifically to inspect my hand soldered surface mounted Integrated Circuits with a 10 thou leg on 25 thou pitch. Not the smallest available but the smallest I can solder by hand. It beats my other inspection scope as the viewable area is much larger AND, more important for me, the IMAGE is the right way up. The LED is really bright, too bright to inspect shiny solder joints but excellent for bare board inspection. Not sure what the Blue led is for. If I have ANY critique, is the switch which I have to jiggle about to get the led lit. Value for money?. Certainly. Yes it's Chinese, cheap, probably fragile but the optics are excellent. I'd buy a second as a spare or to keep in my toolbox.

Cheap And Nasty
I was not impressed by this item in the slightest. Of flimsy plastic construction I found it not fit for purpose.

Great Microscope But NOT real UV LED
This an awesome little device. It's tiny. I'm using it for determining the code on transistors and other small components because some transistors don't even use ink to mark the face but instead only stamp or etch. Some of these are so tiny that you can easly spend 10 or 20 minutes under a super bright light to figure out whats on it. An ordinary magnifying glass can be just as hard. Aged transistors often have scratches which obfuscate the information. This little microscope comes in really handy for stuff like this. Also, it looks to have a real glass lens which should keep it scratch free. It's useful for only short term use as long term will mess with your eyes and your mind. One last thought. I'm not finding the so-called UV light very useful. I have some real 415nm wavelength UV LED's and these are not those. These aren't even near the range of safety black light specifications either. It won't illuminate the multi-coloured section near the top centre of a £50 note. It slightly illuminates the tiny fibres on bills but just barely.

Excellent Loupe
A brilliant little Loupe. Very good level of magnification. Good Lighting. Convenient Leatherette Case. Amazing Price! My only negatives on it:- 1 - Why bother with the moving lens piece. It is irrelevant and might enable it to be even cheaper without it? 2 - I'd really prefer an AAA battery to button cells, which will be expensive to replace. It wouldn't make the unit much bigger. Alternatively there does exist a half the length of AAA cell. That might be even better (but is harder to get hold of).

This is quite small, but...
This is quite small, but is as described, and comes with instructions and a pouch to store the magnifier. Good value, and because of it's size, can easily be put in ANY pocket, to be used when out and about. Thanks.

Very good for its price
I bought this 60x microscope for close studying my coins. I don't know if the magnifying factor is 60 or not, but it serves me. For numismatists, this is a very good tool for verifying the scratches (if any) on the coins, but for sure, this shouldn't be your only magnifying tool. It has two types of light: bright white light and a "currency detector lamp" (looks like an UV LED). I think that the "currency detector lamp" can make visible cracks on the coin. I'm not sure 100%, but this is what I saw. I don't know how much the batteries are lasting because I have this little gadget for 2 days. Anyway, to repeat myself, a good and handy device for this price.

Great gadget
I call it a gadget but really it's a great little magnifier. It's even smaller than I imagined but that makes it easy to carry about and with the very bright in-built lamp it's easy and clear to see objects. The UV lamp works great but it's best feature is as a magnifier. Very clear and easy to use. My first 'view' was of the invisible grime down the side of my thumb nail....I went to scrub my hands..! Love it, even when it frightens me!
