This looks exactly like a re branded version of the Logitec one but at half the price. Does anyone know if this is in fact what it is?

There is a YouTube video of a guy dismantling them side by side, they are the exact same product with identical internal components, chips etc, just different branding. You pay a few quid extra for the logitec name.

Will this work with the echo dot to connect to HiFi via Bluetooth?

Save the hassle and connect the echo dot via cable to hi-fi. There is a 3.5 mm output on echo dot.

Does it come with any cables for audio hook up

Mine came with a phono to 3.5mm audio plug cable. To connect to my hi-fi I used a phono-to-phono lead which I had left lying around.

I have a non blue tooth amplifier and speakers how do i get it to work without wires

Have used thIs to connect my Bluetooth device to a non Bluetooth amp, but you will need to connect this adapter to one of the amp inputs with audio cables. The amp will then play the audio that is transferred between your Bluetooth device (e.g phone ) and the adapter. Works great, and has a good range, e.g phone at one end of the room, amp with adapter connected at the other, so only short audio cables needed between adapter and amp.
