Just an excellent knife in every way
I bought this for my son for this birthday as he's into wild camping. I've had one myself which I gave to my other son when I bought. Swiss Champ. The quality is excellent, it's got the right tools for most uses, it's sharp right out of the box and if cared for will last a lifetime. IMO there is no better UK legal pocket knife/multi tool for the money when you buy a Victorinox SAK. They're unbeatable. I have had Leather man's (locking blades so illegal to carry without lawful excuse in UK), Gerber tools and cheapo versions of multi tools over the decades. So I draw my comparison to those. I have the Swiss Soldier, The Swiss Farmer Alox and the Swiss Champ. However. The best bang for your buck still has to be the Huntsman. A great gift to buy for your kids when they're old and responsible enough to own one and they're into the outdoors.

Still A Quality Product
After 30 odd years of owning a Spartan, I fancied owning a knife with scissors and a saw. The Huntsman was at a bargain price so I took the plunge. I'm pleased to say that the quality is still there and Victorinox have made a really good knife. My only gripe is that I don't like the transparent scales, so in the future I will most likely replace them for the classic red. While doing that I will add a ballpoint pen, pin and screwdriver to fit on the corkscrew. Meanwhile my old trusty Spartan now lives on my desk and is in everyday use.

Possibly the perfect outdoor knife.
This is my 6th SAK, I use them all regularly for various purposes but bought this one as an upgrade from the Walker (great knife for day hiking) to use on multi-day trips. 2 nice sharp blades and the standard pair of openers, great pair of scissors for trimming plasters, keeping nails trimmed on long trips etc and a really sharp saw on the main side. Awl, hook and corkscrew on the back side plus the usual tweezers and toothpick on the scales. Hook is useful for pulling tent pegs, tightening laces or lifting up a hot pot handle, corkscrew is very good as a knot unpicker and also useful to carry either a small screwdriver (if you wear glasses) or Victorinox also sell a tinder and fire steel kit, albeit a very overpriced one IMO. My only possible improvement would be to remove the small blade and the openers layer and add a combo tool to make this knife a layer thinner and a bit lighter, although it's not overly heavy it is slightly bulky.

Great product.
As good as other versions I’ve had over the years. Posidrive screwdriver was a nice addition.

How could I live without one?
Haven't had a Swiss Army Knife for some time and now when I bought one it is the thing I reach for most often. From nail cutting to car repair. Don't forget to buy a pin fitting a hole under the corkscrew! One star less for scales not being hard wearing enough. I already have small scratches on them. I bought red translucent one. On the other hand the knife is in constant use so perhaps it is expected.

Modern take on the classic knife with the red clear plastics
I have only had 3 Victorinox knives in my life. My first was bought with my father when I was only 8, The Camper, followed up with a replacement of that when it was lost. I carried #2 until I was 32 years old (16 years) and recently retired it to be replaced with this. The Huntsman. Love the clear plastics on the item. The toolset is similar to the Tinker with the addition of a saw. I have always loved the toolsets - I would like a top-of-the-line Champ or Champ XLT but it is not ideal for everyday use. The Huntsman, Fieldmaster, Camper & Tinker are a perfect size and have 95% of what you will need. For the price, with these features, you will have a utility knife for life.

Excellent penknife
Find that having a pen knife to hand us becoming more and more of a must for day to day life. Purchased thinking it would just look nice to have when got for a good price, but using it daily at work and around the house. Nice and light, very compact and has countless uses. Highly recommend
