Do i need ears for these?

Also possible the person lacks outer ear (auricle) which can happen following trauma or surgery. In which case I'm not certain you'll be able to retrieve them but seek advice from a medical practitioner before trying.

Are they confortable after a night sleeping on your side?

Yes very comfortable I work nights and use these every day there comfortable and block my 3month old daughters crying  out so I can sleep.

Are these the FP-01-008P earplugs?.........these seem the best for night time sleeping.

Don't think so but personally I have found these the most comfortable and reasonably priced earplugs around

What are the measurements of a single earplug in mm?

The earplug measures 20 mm top to base, and 12 mm diameter. But to insert the earplug you have to roll it between your finger and thumb to make it into a pointy shape that fits comfortably into your ear. I find they fit without sticking out beyond my outer ear, and I can for example lie on my side in bed with an earplug in that ear and it isn't uncomfortable. They do take a bit of practice to get them to fit comfortably.
