Works very well
I found this product very good and worked extremely well on my Spyderco Para 3. A lot of reviews complain that it is overpriced but I think it is good value if used correctly, you don’t need a lot, I used 3 small drops on the pivot washers each side and found it made the action of the knife super smooth. The small bottle should last a long time but I would buy again.

Perfect oil
I have two knives that were getting a bit stiff to open. After treating both my knives quite liberally I have hardly made a dent in the bottle. I was a bit unsure about this because of the price, but it really works well and I will still be using the same bottle for years to come.

Brilliant, BUT expensive for just 5ml.
OK one person said because it is a highly engineered oil it has a premium price which is true, BUT even so it shouldn't be this expensive, the product it's self is extremely high quality but it shouldn't have a high price for 5ml. So just for this I deducted a star, but if used responsibly and when needed it should last a while, one drop is all you need on each pivot. If victorinox decides to make it a 10ml or even a 15ml for the same price then that would make it five stars. Hope this helps.

Restored my SwissTool to shop condition
My SwissTool is nearly a decade old, and several of the blades were sticking (trying to open just one would usually result in at least one other blade coming out as well). A good wash in warm water, the first stage of Victorinox's maintenance routine, if anything made the problem worse. However, just the tiniest suggestion of this oil on the joints has made it like new. In fact, I wouldn't even like to say that the blades come out and go back in even more smoothly than when I bought it. A few strokes of the Victorinox knife sharpener and it's ready for another decade. I absolutely could not fault the result. The quibble over the price is probably fair comment, and I wouldn't like to swear that a drop or two of 3-in-1 or similar wouldn't have had the same effect, but you know what Swiss engineers can be like; your Victorinox is probably rigged to explode within seconds of touching a non-brand oil. Given that my SwissTool is now as good as new again, you could argue that I've saved nearly £100 on buying a new one, and I used such an insignificant amount of oil doing so that I'll never have to buy another bottle of this oil. Your call.

Expensive but great
This oil is very expensive for the amount you get, but literally one drop on each pivot will make your Swiss Army knife feel like new. Even my 25 year old Swiss Champ feels like new again thanks to this. Much better than 3 in one or the like! Worked great on my leatherman too!

What price toys!!
OK, it works. Really no surprise there then! It is noticeably viscous, which I didn't expect, most light multipurpose oils are quite thin so tend to migrate further than needed. So being viscous I would expect this product to remain where it is applied, which is a good thing. The container is convenient to use, again, to be expected really. So, it fulfills it's purpose, job done. The price though, gulp! To put it into perspective, you are paying the same for 5ml as for 1 ltr of good quality engine oil!! Therefore, proportionally, for the oil alone, the price should be 3 pence! Actually, probably alot less, because engine oil is a very complex fluid, whereas this will just be a simple mineral oil. So it could be produced for maybe as little as a 20th of the cost of engine oil, so .0015 of a penny for that 5ml!! To be fair though, because of the economies of scale, small package quantities, etc, etc, this item could be sold for £0.99 and everyone would still be making more than generous profit! I still bought it though, um!
