No the hair removing 'spring' is meant to work similarly to threading, the idea is as you bend it the hairs get caught in the spiral and are removed when you roll it. For me personally I hate the hairs the sprout around my chin and lip and have tried every method to try and exterminate them. Bottom line - the only really effective method is the laser but that does not work on grey hairs, those would need electrolysis. The description for this product is deliberately vague - HONESTLY - save your money . Yes it does remove some random hairs but you can't target the stubborn ones, the product is cheaply made and the handles on the end of the 'spring' fall off within a couple of uses.And the razor? Sadly, when you've run out of patience fiddling around with the spring you end up using it to shave the wretched hairs off. Amazing, we can put men on the moon, we have amazing digital tech but there is no simple cheap solution to "Granny's Chin Syndrome" lol.

Why can't you use it on legs?

It would take absolutely ages to do on your legs. Also I don't know if the gadget is strong enough to pull out hairs on legs - it might though. It works great on my face.

How long do the hairs have to be?

I’ve found that it will take out really short hairs though you do have to go over the area a few times to finally get them out particularly if they are stubborn.
