Excellent quality
Excellent quality dog leads. I've used these for several years now. I have large bracco dogs who are very keen on pulling. These give me the option of putting the figure of eight to use to stop pulling, or not, making it a very versatile lead. Only one flaw is the fact that whilst new, if you get caught in the rain, the colour can bleed onto your dogs face. I simply put the lead into a bowl of water, let any colour bleed come out, hang them to dry and after that no more problem. At 45kg my male dog is a big strong chap but these leads adequately do the job. They don't mark their fur, and last for years. My old ones have simply become a little shabby after 4 years of use hence a renewal

It works!!!
This is a game changer. What a difference this has made to our lives as well as our dog! Walking on choke collar, harness with front and back loop, neck collar… nothing was working and it was quite awful. She was pulling so hard, and leaping in the air, spinning, you name it. This figure 8 has been wonderful. Our dog stopped pulling and now walks beside us. Who knew a lead could make SUCH a difference. The only downside is she chewed off the rubber stopper, but that’s our fault! Bought another lead.

It worked on our labrador - yet to test on cocker spaniel!!
10 month old 25kg labrador was pulling us along on walks and it was no fun. We will still use her harness and lead, but have added this figure 8 lead to attempt to stop the pulling. 1st walk she was not impressed. Wriggled and rubbed her face along the grass in an attempt to remove it. We persevered and noticed far less pulling overall. 2nd walk my son declared as f***ing revolutionary!! No pulling, no trying to remove it, able to walk along the pavement without launching at every passing car. Success!!! The real test, however, will be our 4yr old cocker spaniel who is 17kg of pure pulling power. He will definitely test its limits. Update to follow.......

Most amazing purchase I've ever bought
Like most people in the reviews, we were really struggling with our 7 month old Working Cocker Spaniel and his desire to pull whilst walking, every other style of lead couldnt control his pulling, even a standard slip lead; he would come home with bloodshot eyes from strangle himself. Walking him became emotionally and mentally hard, a chore, not enjoyable. I bought the Figure8 hoping it would be as good as the reviews on here, me and my wife have been blown away by how could the lead has been. Day 1 we struggled to get it on him, and walked him briefly in the garden, he fought to get it off his mouth. Day 2 we again struggled to get it on him, due to wriggling, this time he again fought the lead and tried to get it off for around a minute, then i upped the pace of my walking and he immediately fell into the heal position and almost trotted next to me, we did our normal hour loop of the neighbourhood with him in heal postion. Day 3 he again struggled to let us put it on, but he immediately fell into heal position and trotted again for his normal walk Day 4 we noticed he was way less 'Spaniel crazy' around the house and sitting more, he allowed us to put the lead on while he sat, and again immediately fell into heel position and walked next to us calmly. This lead is just amazing, and I urge anyone who has a dog that pulls to give it a try. Be patient with the training, but the rewards are out of this world. The lead now is really easy to put on, it has a little clip that goes on the dogs collar, and it sits in the perfect position under the dogs ears. Amazing product, I have no negative feedback to add. Thank you so much!

THE MAGIC DOG LEAD
I have a sprocker spaniel with an insane amount of energy. Off the lead he is very well trained and has no problems. However on the lead his energy and drive for scent meant that harnesses and collars didn’t make any difference, in fact he saw it as more of a challenge. As a result I had a rethink. And looked at this lead. My dog is now a joy to walk. I spent over and hour ensuring he was comfortable with it and making sure that it was fitted correctly. Initially he wasn’t so happy with it but soon became comfortable. It enables far greater levels of control and feels well made and of good quality. Alongside having a slight stretch to it which is nice when walking. The length is also perfect. He just doesn’t pull and I spent a long two hour plus walk on the lead which for a change we both enjoyed! I’ve read a limited amount of reviews about this lead leaving abrasive marks on their dogs. As a result I do check his face and neck regularly. I haven’t seen anything. I would guess that fitting it correctly and making sure it allows enough breathing room and control is key. My family who would usually not take the lead due to my dogs huge power and pull. However as a result of this lead they are now more than happy to take him. Ive had this lead over 2 months now and by far the best purchase I’ve made for my dog. A MUST BUY

Game changer for cockers who like to pull
I never usually write reviews but had to for this product. Absolute game changer! I have 2 cocker spaniels under 1 and walks were hell of a challenge you could say they were taking me for a walk! This lead made an instant change in pulling behaviour it's unbelievable and I'm enjoying long walks again. Cheaper than other figure 8 leads on the market just buy you won't be disappointed!

It hurt my boy so badly he had to go to the vets!
Our boy hated it! He hides every time he sees it, will drag his face down the driveway and through the gravel and make his face and gums bleed so we put it away for a while, he’s now 3 and is very strong!! My husband has tried it again with him and he still runs at sight of it, however once it’s on he does get excited for a walk-he’s been using it daily for 4/5 weeks and it has caused a big ridge on his nose where it has rubbed and caused a scab, also where he has been pulling and the lead has got tangled it’s pulled up around his eye and caused some damage which he had to see the doggy Dr for! unfortunately this has also caused him to itch his face in the carpet/bed with his paws/claws and he’s ended up with a very sore face all over :( we are having to keep an eye to make sure it doesn’t get infected. The lead itself is not very strong as described, it is fraying and the rubber stopper has become loose and has really had very little use. I am looking for a new type of halti that is more padded and will distribute the pressure more than a small rope across his nose! I do not agree with other reviews on the quality and durability I’m afraid it is poor & poor design! it hurt my boy so I’m not impressed-I’m not one to leave bad reviews but my fur babies are everything to me! I would NOT recommend. Would be 0 stars if I could.
