I Made The Right Choice
I looked at many different juicers and read, I don't know how many, reviews. Like always, each of the juicers I checked out had "brilliant" and "one star" reviews. What one consumer liked an other didn't. In the end I put a stake in the ground and went for this one. It was very easy to assemble (and I'm not very technically minded), it has a very safe and stable stand due to the little suction feet, it is not as loud as I thought it would be and it was very easily and quickly cleaned and best of all the juice tasted great. All in all a great experience, great well made product from an established brand at a reasonable price. I would recommend it and would buy again.

Compact size, great juicer.
I have bought 3 of these over the years - 1 for myself and 2 for other people. It is a fantastic little juicer. I just broke it today after 4 years - I pushed a very big carrot inside and it broke the plastic Shute. I am considering buying another one right now. My only hesitation is that between us my husband and drink 2.5 litre of juice every day. This juicer can deal with that but it does need emptying at least once half way through - which only takes a few seconds. But the other issue for me is that the pulp is slightly wet (certainly not soggy) and I think a more expensive juicer might get me more juice for my money. I love how compact it is and how easy to clean. I will probably end up with this one again!

Pay Your Money, Take a Chance
I never know whether to take any notice of customer reviews. Before buying this I checked; some thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, others thought it was the most useless, overpriced piece of junk that anyone had the audacity to sell. So how do you decide? Ignore what everyone says and take a chance, I would suggest. After all, as long as I'm happy who cares what anyone else thinks? Do you REALLY care what I think? But as you can see I like to waffle on for ages, so I'm going to tell you anyway, whether you like it or not. As I say, you pay your money, you take your chance. I did. This juicer does everything it says on the tin - or cardboard box. It was easy to assemble, and doesn't take up too much space in the kitchen. It works as it's designed to work: you shove stuff in, switch it on, it makes a noise, and out comes your juice. What else do you expect? It isn't too difficult to clean, as there don't appear to be any of those annoying little areas where tiny remnants of food cannot be reached by running water. You know the ones I mean; those that bury themselves in the corner, then poke their tongue out at you as if to say: "You can't move me! Send your most powerful Tsunami, but I ain't shifting!" The price isn't too extravagant, either. I mean, you could pay anything between £30 and £3,000, so what justifies the massive price range is a mystery to me. Unless you have shed loads of money that needs laundering, why would you pay hundreds of pounds for a machine that smashes up stuff before you drink it? I'd rather pay and get my teeth fixed, then enjoy eating the food as it was designed to be eaten. So to summarise: If you want to buy this juicer, go for it. After all, everything in life is a gamble. If you never take a risk, you will never know, what you have missed. Do you want to spend the rest of your life wondering whether you should have bought it?

So easy to take apart and clean
I absolutely love this juicer! I had purchased another juicer afore this one that was really disappointing. It let loads of pulp and seeds through and was a nightmare to clean. This Phillips juicer is a joy to use. Quickly and easily juices whatever I’ve thrown at it with resulting smooth juice with no bits and the best thing about this juicer is how easy it is to clean. Everything comes apart really simply to be washed. You could really get away with just running all the pieces under the tap - it really is that simple! The machine itself is sturdy and seems good quality.

Economy Juicer Perfect for a First Timer
Having a surplus of fruits and greenhouse produce I decided juicing was the way to go. Also, there would be the added benefit of healthy drinks for the family. I chose the Philips Viva Collection Compact Juicer based on its price and reviews of other users. By its name it is a compact unit that fits comfortably in the kitchen workspace. It has suction cups on its feet which makes it very stable in operation. All the parts (apart from the electrical parts housed in the base) are easily disassembled for cleaning and washing. The parts will go in the dishwasher for cleaning which is a boon. (See photos showing parts) In use the unit will quickly juice whatever fruit or veg is presented to it and will fill the 500ml jug provided in very little time. Of course you can place your own glass under the delivery spout if you desire. The pulp by product is collected in a special integral container which in my experience allows you to make at least a litre of liquid before requiring emptying. The pulp has a damp consistency depending on the raw material used but is easily emptied from its container and, in my case, the pulp is added to the compost heap. Operation is simplicity itself. There is only an on/off switch without any need to adjust for different materials. The opening in which the fruit/veg is inserted is fairly small (plums size) so it’s necessary to slice most materials first such as apples, pears etc. Oranges, lemons etc. will need peeling beforehand but not other items (according to your taste and preferences). There are a few things to consider when using the unit; a) the blade spins very quickly and will throw the material back through the feeding tube unless you use the pusher provided to prevent it (see photo) b) no matter how hard you try there will a little splashing on the work surface and maybe on a wall behind the unit. c) the pouring spout can be rotated upwards to reduce dripping while you empty the jug. However, if you continue juicing with the spout still turned up you will get very wet! d) don’t expect your juices to be clear liquids. In most cases you’ll get a thin ‘soup’ or a smoothie effect. You can, of course, filter out the fine sediment separately but then you are removing much of the goodness that you get from juicing. I daresay more sophisticate machines may provide better filtration for those who only want clearer liquids but that would come at a price. To date I have juiced pears, apples, tomatoes, oranges and cucumbers. Currently I am experimenting with added ingredients such as ginger, avocado, mint, lemon balm and brown sugar with varying degrees of success. There are plenty of free recipes online to try out and it’s very satisfactory finding a new favourite. As a first time (now hooked) juicer I do recommend this product.

Brilliant little Juicer
Brilliant and compact use this all the time. Good for the price. Easy to clean definitely recommend. I personally didn't want a big Juicer taking up space on work top Powerful and compact.

Not best product
Unfortunately bit disappointed 😞 hole where you put your fruits in it is very small. And very quickly it gets full with bits. You can do 2 small glasses of juice and you already have to clean machine due to its full with fruit and vegetable bits.
