I brought this book for my 11 year old son. His science teacher recommended iit, as it will be useful for the next 3 years (year7-9). The information is set out really well for kids, and it is made so easy to understand. There are lots of diagrams to demonstrate what is being said, and there are key exam tips and key tips throughout the book. There are warm-up questions, and exam questions to answer at the end of each topic, as well as a summary of what has been covered. There is also a mock exam at the end of the book, and there are also answers for us parents as its been so long since we went to school!!! I was really impressed with the book and would strongly recommend to anyone who has children in years 7-9 at school.

This book was bought for my 9 year old son knowing it would be more advanced than the levels he is currently working on at school however the book is designed so well that each section is very well explained and catches my sons attention and makes him want to read to learn more. Each section is written with short sharp sentences that allow for a quick attention grab. They also have pictures and diagrams that make it easier to understand and for kids remember pieces of information for example the parts of a cell. The tests at the end of each section motivate him to learn the section and the to challenge himself to tackle the test to see how many he can answer correctly. I definitely would recommend even if you feel your child isn’t within the age bracket of the key stage for this practice book as you may just unlock a natural love of science.

This book is great for student who gets easily distracted. No nonsense, clear pictures and precise. Every page clearly shows what to remember before moving on. Great to accompany homework and everyday studying.

I definitely recommend it

Good book that talk about all the subject studied in KS3 in the UK although It need a little bit more exercices to be sure that every subject is fully understood. The price is fair even for me who order it from France.

School recommended

It is a book that highly recommended in an international school in HK but had no luck to buy one in local bookstore. This is the first time I purchased book from Amazon, I feel great as the delivery is fast enough and quality is exact as what it described. For the content, I don't have much more comments as it is the only reference book in the kid's school~ I trust the teacher.

Ottimo libro per chi deve insegnare le scienze in modo semplice e chiaro. I bambini non hanno alcuna difficoltà nel comprendere il testo, che è scritto in modo elementare. Davvero consigliato.
