My husband has struggled with a really bad dry, itchy scalp for a long time, and nothing we tried seemed to help. I honestly felt so sorry for him because it was constant and uncomfortable. I decided to give this E45 shampoo a try, and I’m so glad I did. There’s no real scent to it, which was a bit strange at first, but the results make up for it completely. After using it consistently, he hasn’t had any dry scalp, flakes, or itching at all. His scalp looks so much healthier, and he’s not scratching anymore. I bought this as the ingredients are much better for you than other classic brands of anti-dandruff/itchy scalp shampoos and the price is fantastic. I used this in place of my regular shampoo and I didn't notice any difference. However, I decided to use this alongside a few other scalp treatment methods and the combination has worked really really well. Method below: I washed my hair in the shower with this shampoo, using a scalp brush to gently massage the shampoo in (I probably did this for a few minutes whereas usually I would lather up and then rinse out straight away, I took a lot more time this time) and then rinsed it all out well, letting warm water run over my scalp for a few minutes before getting out and using Garnier gentle oat hypoallergenic hair mask on my scalp - I massaged this into my scalp straight after my shower and then also got the lengths of my hair and tied it up to leave it in for an hour. Then I rinsed out with very cold water over the bath and the dandruff on my scalp has significantly reduced, by about 95% I would say. So the only reason I've deducted a star is because using is alone didn't seem to do anything but using it a bit more purposefully as part of a scalp treatment worked wonders. I'll probably do this a couple times a month or when needed.

Bought for a family member who suffers with irritated, dry, flaky scalp, and dandruff. E45 Dry Scalp Shampoo has been found to be very effective and helped calm down and reduce irritation and dandruff. As with most products, it requires consistency. Definitely worth a try!

Overall: ✩✩✩-- The shampoo was fine on its own. You do not need to use a significant amount for it to work well. Upon initial use, the shampoo helped to relieve the itching in my scalp. However, over several weeks, I noticed that it reacted badly with Head and Shoulders. I am not quite sure why this is the case. But it has left my hair itching even worse for the coming weeks. I do not recommend that you use any other hair products when using this one. I am now having to go see the GP to see what it has done to my scalp. Packaging The product arrived in a timely manner as expected from Amazon Prime. It was neatly packed and did not have any damage upon arrival. The product The product is a 200 ml shampoo bottle, that is, a bottle that is just about the same size as the palm of your hand. It is a plastic bottle with a blue cap. It is durable and lasts for a weeks if you are conservative with your use of it. The smell The product does not smell particularly nice. It has a strong medicinal smell, almost like the smell of hair dye. It is pungent, but when washed off from the hair, it does not leave an after-smell luckily. The lather The product lathers well when in the shower. I have no complaints about the quality of the lather either. It is not too frothy like other shampoo brands, nor is it too dry to lather up like Lynx. Reaction with other hair products The product does not seem to like to be combined with Head and Shoulders and caused a nasty reaction to my scalp. It has left it itching for weeks which has not been particularly comfortable. It does not seem to reach with my Loreal Conditioner. I would recommend that you apply only a small amount to determine if it reacts with your own hair products.

A great shampoo! I had some scabs on my scalp, due to constant scratching and after 1 wash they have gone! I left it on for 5 minutes and then did a second wash. My hair is very dry afterwards, so you need to put a really good conditioner on. I would recommend only using this once a month ideally, or when needed. But it really does work!

Lovely shampoo. Cleared a my scalp quickly which was very dry and flaky. Lathered very well using a tiny amount. Doesn’t really have a fragrance but that was ok. Will but again.

After learning I had some allergies , to what seemed like almost everything in shampoo, this was listed as one of the things that would safe for me to use. It leaves your hair super soft and has definitely improved my scalp health. Just wish it came in a bigger bottle!

I finally got rid of dandruff

My wife has sensitive skin in particular on her Skala. We found a product from Canada which worked great but too hard to get so tried E45 and it did the trick, Competetivly prices so happy to use this product from now on.

Have been using this for months. Works well. No scalp irritation. No more dry scalp. Only slight downside is no fragrance.
