My husband has struggled with a really bad dry, itchy scalp for a long time, and nothing we tried seemed to help. I honestly felt so sorry for him because it was constant and uncomfortable. I decided to give this E45 shampoo a try, and I’m so glad I did. There’s no real scent to it, which was a bit strange at first, but the results make up for it completely. After using it consistently, he hasn’t had any dry scalp, flakes, or itching at all. His scalp looks so much healthier, and he’s not scratching anymore. It’s gentle, lathers well, and does exactly what it promises. If you’ve tried other anti-dandruff shampoos without success, this one is definitely worth trying.

I bought this as the ingredients are much better for you than other classic brands of anti-dandruff/itchy scalp shampoos and the price is fantastic. I used this in place of my regular shampoo and I didn't notice any difference. However, I decided to use this alongside a few other scalp treatment methods and the combination has worked really really well. Method below: I washed my hair in the shower with this shampoo, using a scalp brush to gently massage the shampoo in (I probably did this for a few minutes whereas usually I would lather up and then rinse out straight away, I took a lot more time this time) and then rinsed it all out well, letting warm water run over my scalp for a few minutes before getting out and using Garnier gentle oat hypoallergenic hair mask on my scalp - I massaged this into my scalp straight after my shower and then also got the lengths of my hair and tied it up to leave it in for an hour. Then I rinsed out with very cold water over the bath and the dandruff on my scalp has significantly reduced, by about 95% I would say. So the only reason I've deducted a star is because using is alone didn't seem to do anything but using it a bit more purposefully as part of a scalp treatment worked wonders. I'll probably do this a couple times a month or when needed.

Lovely shampoo. Cleared a my scalp quickly which was very dry and flaky. Lathered very well using a tiny amount. Doesn’t really have a fragrance but that was ok. Will but again.

I am aware of E45 as a moisture and its effectiveness of dry and sensitive skin. I wanted to try the shampoo as I am suffering with a very dry scalp lately. Firstly the bottle is small compared to your average sized shampoo that you'd find in a supermarket. Not as issue as the unit of measure and quantity it clearly listed but don't expect it to be a large bottle. The product it's self is completely odourless which I presume is a result of lack of presence of harsh chemicals and fake fragrance. I found that even with a generous amount applied, the shampoo doesn't really lather up like you'd expect, again not a huge issue but I was wondering how well I'd massaged the shampoo into the scalp. After rinsing I applied a second time which was an option as per the instructions. After getting out of the shower a lot of loose dry skin was present on the scalp so it had obviously loosened the dry skin which is good. Unfortunately the next day the dry skin was back with a vengeance. It seems that my dryness got worse during the following day when using this shampoo. As such I have stopped using it and looking for alternative products. Given how it seemed to make my dryness worse, I wouldn't be able to recommend the product.

I've been using E45 Dry Scalp Shampoo for several months now (since July 2025), so its had a fair test. As someone who suffers from dry scalp combined with sores and spots on the scalp. This shampoo is the only one that actually works for me. I had a suspicion that using other shampoos etc is the irritant for my scalp, this has been confirmed to me with this shampoo. Over the years i tried multiple anti dandruff shampoos, tar shampoos, expensive brand shampoos and they all irritate my scalp and produce sores with pus and blood. I've been using the same barber for over 10 years for haircuts, he asked for the very first time last month what shampoo i was using as my scalp was shiny and clean. So its took 5 months to clear it (or for my hairdresser to notice it). But i haven't had any sores since using E45 Scalp Shampoo. Just to add i stopped using conditioner on my hair as well and only use E45 Shampoo now. I did actually use conditioner last week and it produced a sore on my scalp. So that's me done with using anything else! 100% effective for me with dry scalp with sores and spots combined. It smells very bland - but it means nothing to me as its doing its job. Top Tip: Bin all the rubbish shampoos in your bathroom and try this! Excellent overall

I am absolutely amazed by this shampoo! I just had to leave a review. I have long blonde hair. It’s been like straw. My scalp has been itching and I have broken my hair from scratching. I was thinking I might have to cut it. I used this shampoo and OMG what a difference! I have soft shiny hair again! Really shiny! I never thought a shampoo could make such a difference! No hair cut needed and the itching gone!

After learning I had some allergies , to what seemed like almost everything in shampoo, this was listed as one of the things that would safe for me to use. It leaves your hair super soft and has definitely improved my scalp health. Just wish it came in a bigger bottle!

My wife has sensitive skin in particular on her Skala. We found a product from Canada which worked great but too hard to get so tried E45 and it did the trick, Competetivly prices so happy to use this product from now on.

Have been using this for months. Works well. No scalp irritation. No more dry scalp. Only slight downside is no fragrance.
