An absolute must-play on PS5 — polished, intense, and insanely fun
Resident Evil 4 on PS5 is everything I wanted and more. The game looks incredible, runs super smoothly, and the overall experience feels modern while still keeping the heart of what made RE4 iconic. The atmosphere is tense, the combat is satisfying, and the pacing is so good that it’s hard to put down. On PS5, the visuals and lighting are gorgeous, and the controls feel tight and responsive—especially during the more hectic fights. The remake balances horror and action perfectly, and the upgrades/weapon management keep the gameplay addicting. The sound design is also excellent (headphones make it even more intense). The story and characters are still great, but everything feels more immersive and refined. Whether you’re new to the series or you played the original, this is a top-tier Resident Evil title. If you’re on the fence: get it. One of the best games on PS5.

RE4 on the PS5 delivers a fantastic gaming experience
After finishing my 1st RE game ( RE Requiem) recently I was hungry for some another horror game. I chose RE4 Remade as my follow up. This is one amazing game. It has tons of 3rd person action, jumps galore, easily solvable puzzles and multi layered maps. The graphics are absolutely fantastic as is the sound. Highly recommended game!

Amazing game, never let down by RE
Bought it as a gift for my dad and he loves it! It’s very high quality and the combats and scenes are so good that he kinda got scared a couple of times. Talking about a grown man who has been playing video-games on every console ever since late 80s. I would say that was a nice experience!

An unmissable action/horror game.
Everyone's favourite LEON returns, this time on an adventure through Spain. A flawless remake and cult classic, RE4. 100% recommended purchase for fans of the series.

It's a "remix" of RE4, not a remake, and is missing a lot of content
There's plenty of reviews focusing on what a great game RE4 is so I'll talk about something else: What Capcom changed from the original. This game is a remix of RE4, it isn't the same game and there's a lot of content missing. Notably the entire 2nd half of the game (on the island) is quite different, but there's an increasing level of missing things a bit before the mid point. You could almost imagine they had a shorter deadline than anticipated and while they started following the original game closely, they diverged more and more. I think it's more likely these changes were fully intentional but that's the impression you get. Separate Ways is almost a completely different game and bears little resemblance to the original seen on the PS2 and GameCube. Oddly enough it features a few set pieces from the main game that were omitted (e.g. the laser tunnel, ski lift, etc.) It's a lot longer than the original game and is a more independent story than being so tightly intertwined with the original game. Because of these changes I can't say this version of RE4 is the "definitive" version of RE4, because it's a very different game. There's tons of material in the original game that isn't here, and they are two different experiences. So if you like the original RE4, don't throw your old copy away yet -- consider this game and the original as two sometimes similar but ultimately very different games. Both are worth playing and the new game doesn't replace the original at all.
