Bought as a replacement. Still makes good yogurt, but the freshly boiled water comes to within a centimetre of the top of the vessel when the inner container is added, so more than a little care needed to avoid scalds.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ! I've held off reviewing until I had made my own yoghurt in it :-)My first yoghurt maker: no electricity, not necessary - its a giant thermos really HUGE - in the pic the smaller jar is a 1L pot of yog !DESIGN Lovely retro sleek design, outer case, lid and one internal thingy to rest the large yoghurt pot on. Simples. No washing up, just dry.YOGHURT- came with one packet Easiyo greek yoghurt mix which is basically powdered milk and active yoghurt culture. I made it up and its DELICIOUS ! However, you need to consider that a packet of this (one came free with my order) is £3.99 which doesnt compare brilliantly with bought low cost non live yoghurt.....HOWEVER after researching on the interweb I discovered a fool-proof way of making yoghurt with no risk or weirdness (gloopy, grainy, non set yog). Buy one packet of easiyog yoghurt mix (lots of choices of flavour and style of yoghurt), open the packet and add 2-4 Tablespoons of mix to one L of long life skimmed, semi or full cream milk at room temperature. Keep rest in aircright jar. Complete as per instructions: fill thermos with boiling water up to mark and pop the yoghurt jar in and wait until breakfast - YUM YUM. I've settled on 4 T's for the reasonably thick consistency I like on my breakfast. One packet I reckon will make at least 5L of live yoghurt. If you use a flavoured one, like Mango for instance, there is a subtle, nice flavour of mango. This is a huge hit with me, I really love the design, the ease, the cost effectiveness and overall the taste of this lovely live yoghurt. BARGAIN ! But not if you rely on the packet mixes. There is some reason why UHT milk works best (saves boiling then cooling milk apparently) so I just stock up on UHT milk when out shopping so I've always got some for the next batch. Yoghurt keeps in fridge at least a week which is how long 1L lasts me for all breakfasts, and occasional use in curries and raitas. RESULT ! Did I say I love it ? I LOVE it !

Love this product, makes a vast amount of yoghurt in 8-12 hours, put my vanilla bean smoothie on before I go to bed and it is ready for breakfast!, very easy to use - idiot proof!, this was a particularly good buy, original design (it has been revamped, a new design is now available) so I knew my old jars would fit and I just needed a quick replacement - they don't take well to being dropped!, this arrived quickly and well packaged, so I was able to get under way making yoghurt in days, if you are unsure I would definitely recommend you give it a go, think what you pay for yoghurt in the supermarket and consider making approximately a kilo for about £3 depending on what flavour you choose, it really is that good.

Fabulous, exceeded all expectations. I have made 3 lots now and all turned out thick and creamy and yummy. Came with 2 free sachets, thanks for that Easiyo folks. I make one lot per week, all for me and IBS bloating is much relieved. If you are considering buying look at some youtube movies and see how easy it is. Will be trying making my own with cows milk next to save a bit on dosh. cheers

I love this Easiyo maker and have bought many for friends and family. I am keeping this one as a spare for me as reviews of the new style are not good and I worry this style may be discontinued at some point.I never used to like yogurt until I discovered Easiyo Greek Style, now I eat it every day.Fast delivery and good price, what more could you ask.

Never bought tubs of yogurt again since buying this. One tub (from one Easiyo sachet) lasts the two of us a couple weeks, and it keeps well in the fridge for all that time, in this handy tall, slim container, which fits well in our fridge door! It tastes so much nicer than shop-bought natural yogurt too, lovely with fruit or just a little cinnamon and flaked almonds etc. Good for cooking and dips/sauces etc too.
