Nice derailleur for reasonable price
Works great on my wife’s bike after adjusting. Can handle larger cassette than older Acera Derailleur. Shift well. Using on a 1 by 8 speed cassette, shout also work with a 2 or 3 speed front derailleur.

Lasted a week, but it may have been the rider
Worked fine for a little bit, but then it broke like in a week... Im not sure if a shorter cage would have been better or if he was just too hard on it.

Indexes 9 speed perfectly
Since I aligned the derailleur hanger, since I fine tuned the cable adjuster, it has been indexing a 9 speed cassette and shifter perfectly.

solid upgrade!
Swapped it in a banged up one on my specialized roll 2.0 sport - looked for an upgrade and my gear changing is perfect now (one slight click and a perfect change)(also through on a new chain - runs like a dream now). Would note that I also bought a new derailer hanger - they are designed to bend first so if you are upgrading an old one that's been dropped a few times you probably need a hanger too (they are about $10-$15 and specific to your bike).

25 year old Mikado road bike and gravel bike shifts smoother and firmer than when new. I combined this derailleur with new chain, new cassette, and new shifter cable and did most of the work myself. Then the local mechanic, Dave with 20 years experience, at Cranky's bike shop, set the adjustment screws and corrected my mistakes for $25 and a smile. I estimate I can cycle at 30 to 40 khm on the flat and I can cycle 70 hilly kilometers. With the gravel tires thousands of kilometers of trails are an option. original 25 year old Shimano derailleur works but the new Acera is way better.
