no complaints, really good audio in comparison to my webcam mic or headphones. super simple to set up, quite literally plug and play no need for drivers or bloat-ware. really good for just casual use from gaming to meetings or streaming.

I've remembered I've never made a review for this product today as I've changed it's elastic holders due to them giving up. I am still giving it 5 stars as it lasted more than what I ever expected! Still works and looks incredible!

For the price, this mic does a solid job. Yes there are ones that cost 3x the price (and dont come with the boom) that do it better, but this offers a great value for money without too much sacrifice.-Noise cancelling is respectable-Boom arm does a good job but I did have to dampen the springs with some velcro to stop annoying desk reverb-Included cable isnt the longest, which may be a problem depending on your setup, but long enough for most people I’m sureMy biggest gripe with this mic is the lack of an built in/inline mute button. Is it the end of the world? No. Am I going to spend an extra £100 for the privilege? Probably not.For those moving away from a headset mic or those getting into streaming/recording/etc you could do a lot worse than this starter set!

Really happy that my first ever mic purchase was this as it has been delivering amazing quality sound for more than a year now.Didn't want to get an external separate soundboard plus a mic and was looking for something simple, portable and quality and this was the perfect example for that.At the atart, it had a slight distortion when spoken really close and really loud into the mic but I guess this is expected with all microphones. I found that buying a cheap pop filter meant a gap between you and the mic whilst cutting out harsh "p" sounds along with some software sound adjustments solve the issue.I usually forget about reviews but after more than a year, I think its time that I showed the recognition it deserves.

I replaced my previous mic which was also USB but annoyingly had no switch. Using and installing this is absolutely simple. I can now interact with the audience on cutterschoiceradio.mixlr.comHas totally elevated mine and the audience's enjoyment.

I was quite pleased with this when I received it, but it didn't live up to my expectations.- you have to be quite close to the mic for it to pick up your voice well. I've had lots of people on Zoom calls telling me the sound from my webcam is better than from this mic- the pop screen pops off easily, but is easy to put back on- the mic is suspended in the stand by 6 elastic bands. These are quite loose and if one comes off, it's a real pain to get it back onI've put up with this, but it's now unusable due to the USB plug. I've moved this USB plug from my laptop to a USB hub on my desk (about 30cm away) once a week for the last 21 months. About 3 months ago (so 18 months of use), it started dropping out, so it would disappear from the computer, then come back, then the computer would say device not recognised.I could get it to do this pretty reliably just by touching the USB plug. This happens on both computers, in every USB socket.So today I decided to replace the plug, as the cable is attached to the mic. However, the wires in the cable are so small, it was impossible.Is £50 a reasonable price for something that only lasts 18 months? I don't think it is.

TL;DR: Does the job to upgrade a poor built-in laptop microphone, not sure it would make you sound radio/podcast-like thoughI have two computers, a personal one (Microsoft surface Pro 4) and a work one lended by my company (HP ??). I use my work laptop for frequent meetings and research interviews that use online call. The built in microphone picks up my voice but gives always a white noise and my voice sounds remote. The Marantz Umpire makes my voice much clearer and doesn't generate white noise or pick up as much on background noise. So it's a significant improvement from a poor built in microphone.I had the opportunity to try the Marantz Umpire on my personal laptop which has already a very good built-in microphone. On a call, family said they didn't notice a difference. I take it it only gets as good as good built-in microphone, but won't go as far as make your voice sound like on the radio/podcasts.

I'm converting my shed into a studio, I'm not wealthy, I am unable to work, I don't have a whole lot of money. I make music to vent & release my negativity... I've been recording on my phone for a while, The quality was surprising but it was a pain mixing my vocals all the time and hard to add backing vocals + adlibs.This microphone is perfect! It's made everything 100x easier. Recorded my first track with it last night and it couldn't of gone any better.Only issue is the sensitivity of the mic, It's a very good mic. I know it's not a professional microphone, More like semi pro. But... The sensitivity of the mic isn't what I expected, It's good but it can be a little weird or I may just not be used to it yet. To me though it seems to not always pick your voice up fully. Could just be me though.
