Will this battery barrel fit the older type P7

This battery cartridge did fit my P7 (655725) torch.

Hi, no idea on model no , torch has a serial no 655502 , battery cartridge has serial no 090327. so the question is - will it fit?

It will fit the P7.2 (should say on the side of the torch) Mine developed a bad on/off switch, this part sorted it, my wife now has it as I bought a new one. Her 7.2 serial number starts with 15116. iirc, some people in reviews tried it on other p7's and said it fitted, but thread was slightly different and very tight

does it fit the T7M torch?

I cannot say for certain because I do not have a T7, but I suspect the answer to your question will be 'No'. Bear with me as I give the full picture of my experience with this item ... I have a P7 and a P7.2. The main operational difference between the two is the switches which, , despite looking pretty similar, behave differently in the two torches. However, if you dismantle the two torches the dimensions switch plunger within end cap and are different and under normal circumstances you would not be able to use this battery cage in the P7. BUT, if you also swap over the end cap and switch, this battery cage will then fit the P7. The Amazon listing states that this battery cage is compatible with 'P7.2 and the T7.2 ONLY', so it is entirely possible that the same will apply in your case. In other words, it will work if you were to also fit the &7.2 end cap with switch.
